So I've been on these forums for a couple of years and feel like I'm finally ready to contribute and share my picks with the rest of you guys. I've really enjoyed the years of following many of your picks. Some of you have won me a lot of money and I want thank you for that. I feel like I excel the best in capping MLB. So I'll start this year and give my picks everyday and keep track of my record and see how I'm progressing. I know no one knows who I am or why they should give a shit about my picks, but hopefully over the season I can gain some of your trust and respect and help someone out with some of my picks. I use Heritage, so I get the 8 cent lines. All plays will be for a unit each, which I consider 1% of my bankroll. Anyways, we'll start out the season with 3 games. I'll play all of them, some totals and some money lines.
1:05 Cardinals (Wainwright) @ Pirates (Liriano)
Pick: Over 6 (-118)
We start of the day with a lefty vs righty match up. Adam Wainwright finally makes his first start since being injured last summer. Both of these teams are very familiar with each other as we all know. The Cards have not hit lefties well in the past few years. But, they've seen Liriano a lot and I think they can get to him in the later innings. I think Wainwright gives up a few early runs. I can envision a 3-3 type game in the 7th or 8th inning. Either way, I think the bats pop off in the first game of this season.
4:05 Blue Jays (Stroman) @ Rays (Archer)
Pick: Blue Jays (-105)
I think Stroman and Archer are pretty even pitching wise. The Rays really haven't seen Stroman much, while the Blue Jays have seen Archer quite a bit in the past few years. I think the edge in this one is the offense of the Blue Jays. I think they come up big and gets them a win. Not really sold on the Rays bats. That'll be something to look for this year because if they can the hitting going, they can make some noise in the AL East this year.
8:35 Mets (Harvey) @ Royals (Volquez)
Pick: Royals (+109)
I obviously give the edge to Harvey in the pitching matchup, that being said, I think this game will be a lot like the World Series last year. The Mets get an early lead and then the Royals get the lead in the late innings and the bullpen shuts the Mets down and squeak out a win. Should be a tight game either way.
With all that being said, good luck to you all. Hopefully this a profitable season for everyone!
