Took one on the chin yesterday. 3 out of the 4 pitchers got hammered. Scooter Gennett continues to struggle at the plate and in the field. Gennett must think the job is his to keep after knocking out Ricky Weeks from that position. It looks like the organization is giving him a chance to play out of the slump. But, Counsell should give Genett 2 at bats today and judge whether or not to replace him. Luis Sardinas played well and hit well, so no problems at the shortstop position. Maldonado is getting the day off which is probably for the best. Let's hope Gennett and Centeno both don't come up empty today. I thing Counsell is smart enough to know that the way you beat a new pitcher like Noah Syndergaard is to have the hitters take a lot of pitches and make him work. Usually the Brewers like to attack with the bat swinging, but today, it should be the waiting game. Make Syndergaard throw a lot of pitches so he's into a high pitch count prior to the 6th inning. He'll get beat then. Peralto has been pitching very well, so hopefully that continues. The Brewer bullpen should be ready to hold a tight game, if it's a tight game. Chris Counsell is putting Kris Davis back in that #2 spot, so hopefully that works out as well.
