They acquire the Marlins' top prospect in Andrew Heaney (30th ranked prospect in baseball prior to the 2014 season) as well as 2B Enrique Hernandez, right reliever Chris Hatcher and catching Austin Barnes.
The Dodgers will also pay Haren's $10 million salary. However, Haren said he'd retire if he he wasn't playing for the Dodgers or Angels so we'll see in time if he's going to do that.
Heaney has world of potential, will be 24 in June and is controlled through the 2020 season. And pitching in the NL West may really be good for him. He was really bad when he debuted this past season but I think that could be just a bump for his bright future.
As for the Rollins deal...it seems like it's going to go down. Reports are that there is a 3rd team involved and someone involved in the trade with the Marlins may also be involved and it's said to be waiting the approval from the MLB.
The Dodgers really intrigue me. They let HanRam go and they trade Gordon and seem to be likely to trade Kemp. This is a team who you thought had an infinite payroll but I guess not. I do like the addition of Heaney for their future because they still have a team that can win and are working on their future which is incredibly bright with Joc Pederson, Corey Seager and Julio Urias coming in due time. With their seemingly unlimited funds...I think they may build an historic dynasty in a few years.

The Dodgers are also talking to the Phillies about the Dodgers since they now need a 2nd baseman after trading Gordon but they also have prospect Alexander Guerrero who can play 2nd as well as Barney and Justin Turner. The move for Rollins, who is a free agent after the season, is just a stopgap for Seager who is supposed to be their SS to start the 2016 season.
Friedman is wasting no time working his magic with the acquisition of Heaney and now he's working with a team who will spend. I think he's the perfect match for the Dodgers because you can combine the best of both worlds. Smart handling of the farm system and bringing in youth while also maintaining a solid team. And now he works for an owner who will let him keep the young guys he brought in/had.
As far as the Marlins go...I guess they're sold on Fernandez, Alvarez, Eovaldi and Cosart for their future in their rotation. I have no problem with them, either and with their recent spending spree on Stanton...maybe they'll sign an Ace in the future if these guys prove to be a very formidable rotation.

Sparky, I think the move to the N.L. East is a blessing from Heaven for Cosart, but Eovaldi is still a very big question mark and I think they should keep looking for another one or two starters to push him. He needs to show up this year or get out of the way, and they should make that clear. A #5 never has a safe spot just because the team, overall, is doing well.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

I think the Dodgers did well selling high on Gordon and getting a couple of prospects that I like and a relief pitcher but this is another one of those interesting trades to follow and see how it works out for both squads.

Eovaldi is a question mark but 17 of 33 starts having allowed 2 or less runs is impressive. And he's just going to be 25 next season. He's had bad starts mixed in, too, but he had a nice 2013 and we'll see how he is for next season. I'm not saying he'll be great but I'm not giving up on him just yet.

But now the Dodgers flipped Heaney to the Angels for Howie Kendrick!?!?!? Seriously? Did Heaney really unimpress people that much in his short stint in the majors or something because I don't understand this at all. Well...I really like that move by the Angels then, although a move to the AL may hurt a bit.

Eovaldi needs to learn how to pitch and not rely on his stuff. I liked his potential a lot but I thought he'd be farther along than now. It is not that hard to pitch when you have 95MPH
