The fact is gentlemen that Verlander has gotten a roll of stamps and mailed it in ever since he got the big contract. He basically said so LY that he doesn't pitch hard in the regular season anymore "saving bullets for the postseason" Guess what Mr.Verlander i'm afraid i've got some bad news. And that is the way you're pitching there will be no postseason
And because of Verlander Scherzer will leave in free agency and your top 2 starters are Sanchez and Porcello[God Help us all} He doesn't want to pitch but he sure doesn't mind stealing a dying man's money because this is it for the Tigers. The window will shut after this year if its not already shut as of now
So Verlander get a roll of stamps and mail it in. I'm not happy right now

Verlander is always resting for the postseason. In fact in 2011, he nearly rested for the entire postseason.
I think people forget that the Indians finished one game behind the Tigers last season.
The AL Central is not as weak as it has been in the past. It will be tough for the Tigers to make the playoffs.
I would hope the Tigers are keeping their options opening with trading Scherzer. He didn't want 24 million a year. I am not sure how you go any higher, especially seeing how the team is going to be burned badly the next 5 years with 28 million per year owed to Verlander unless he wakes up and starts performing.
The Tigers already have huge money committed to Sanchez and Verlander. I don't think its wise to commit big money to three pitchers like this. The Phillies learned this lesson a few years ago.
This is why you keep guys like Fister. He is relatively cheap relative to the contracts being handed out today and is a solid pitchers who isn't a hard thrower and an innings eater.
