- Orioles -250 ML down 9-0 to a team 24 games worse than their record

- Rays -190 ML down 4-0 at home

- Mets at -225 on the RL down 3-0

Baseball is a god damn joke on some nights where sh*t is just f*d up and there is absolutely NO logic.  If losing a bet, one can at least hope for a fighting shot of winning, but these f*ng teams tanked so bad that before 5 innings there is NO HOPE.  Such BS!  No wonder Vegas keeps building f*ng casinos!!

I'VE LEARNED MY COLLEGE BASKETBALL LESSON AND MY MLB LESSON.  THERE IS NO AMOUNT OF HANDICAPING THAT PREVENTS THE FISTPHUKING FROM COLLEGE HOOPS AND MLB BASEBALL.  I ABSOLUTELY HATE THESE 2 SPORTS TO MY CORE.

GIVE ME COLLEGE FOOTBALL AND NFL WITH OCCASIONAL NBA BETS AND I'LL LIVE A LONGER LIFE THAN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT MLB AND COLLEGE BASKETBALL SPORT BEHAVIORS.

I can't describe in enough words how DISGUSTED I am @ the Orioles tonight.  Being from this area and having seen many of their games live @ Camden Yards, I have spent time and money on this team.  The one day I happen to put down decent action on them at home with a good pitcher, against a no-name pitcher and a terrible team, I get this type of absolute sh*t performance.  This team is an embarrassment to a -250 moneyline.  NEVER again am I taking this team on a ridiculous moneyline, no matter who they play.  Lesson learned.

Couldn't agree more.  I have had my fair share of beats in 10+ years of gambling.  Bets like the 3 placed above will profit in a long run, and on most nights, will go 2-1 or 3-0.  It's beyond frustrating on 0-3 nights on such bets.  But YES it happens.  I think more in MLB then any other sport.

Sports gambling is exactly that...it's gambling. Be disciplined enough to stay away from the large favorites and pick your spots.

There is definitely money to be won in bases....

Absolutely.  I have bet my share of underdogs and not just lay the wood on favorites.  In this spot though, I couldn't touch the Astros, even with the value.  In a 162 game season there will be some unconventional nights, tonight is one of them.  In the long run, the better team will prevail.  Tonight in all three of these games the better team is getting destroyed.

It's particularly true tonight for the Rays and O's.  At least the Mets are competing and have similar # of hits.  The O's are getting outhit by 10 and the Rays are getting outhit by 6 both at home against an unknown pitcher on a bad team.

The thing ive learned from mlb is more often than not capping it is pointless, too many variables, very little consistancy, i honestly think youd be just as good flipping a coin than trying to cap it lol my absolute worst sport to gamble on i never won consistantly on it, id give it up cause football is right around the corner my dude but if u need the action..try tennis or wnba, lol seriously i made way more off those two than i ever did baseball

I agree with you bruins17 but my heavenly God in NFL or college football everygame is so crucial to playoffs implication or bowl games.  There is atleast maximum effort being put in by the players because of the shorter schedule.  To whereas MLB has 162 games and god knows when these stupid teams feel like winning against a terrible team.   If we relate mlb errors to nba/n.f.l./college football turnovers the Jays should of easily got dominated on the road today

I think that's the great thing about betting on baseball. You get some unknown pitchers and you have to do research on them to see the value on some of these lines.

Betting on pitchers like Gerrit Cole or Jose Fernandez or Jared Cosart or Chris Archer...I get such a high when I win these bets because these kids are so good yet they get such inflated lines because no one knows about them! Hah, am I weird for feeling this way?

Just take the time and do some research, home/road splits for pitchers, innings pitched vs. hits allowed, and I guarantee you that you will win more than you lose. Don't just blindly follow people.

You and 90% of the guys just screwing around with baseball for the action until your beloved football starts up, then this forum can get back to the real baseball handicappers and bettors. More consistency in football? More predictable? Did you have Stanford when they beat Southern Cal straight up in their own house as a 47 point underdog? 6, 7, and 10 point dogs win outright on the road constantly. It's sports, if you can't take the heat get the f**k out of the kitchen. You are probably too young and immature to take to heart what Grantland Rice after watching Carlisle Institute, with the great Jim Thorpe, upset Notre Dame. "On any given day, any one team can beat another." The guys you are talking about being terrible in MLB are PROFESSIONALS pal, they did not get there by accident, and on any given day...........

My recommendation is dont bet on baseball anymore.  The very best team struggles to win win 6 out of 10 games and the worst team wins 4 out of 10.    Taking big favorite is a recipe for disaster anyway
