1st Inning Thread

Question

I have been lighting up the 1st inning bets all season long. Havn't posted much but thought maybe I might start. Hopefully I can help someone out that may be struggling.

Last night I hit no runs 1st inning in the Astros game.

Today so far I hit the Cubs/Mets no score 1st inning.

I might have another one for today, still looking things over.

I will try to also keep track of record/units as people often like to see that. Since I have only posted twice so far I will say 2-0 for 4 units. I had 1 unit on the Astros and 3 units today on the Cubs/Mets.

Congrats on the short streak. However, playing the NO is a recipe for disaster long term because the lines are so bad on the NO. You'll find out soon enough that 95% of the time, it's either YES or no play.

&#xD;&#xA;I appreciate your thoughts total guy. I agree that the no&#x27;s are generally a little higher juice, but with about -145 being about the highest its not all that bad. I do disagree that 95% of the time it should be a yes or "no play". If you look it is pretty close to 50/50 on yes/no. But I see your point, if a guy is going to make 5-6 of these wagers per night you would be better off maybe going with the yes.  In order to be successful its all about picking your spots just like any other bet that you may place and money management. &#xD;&#xA;Again, I always appreciate others input.&#xD;&#xA;Thanks

The problem is that you are paying that juice for what amounts to a coin flip. Certainly you wouldn't pay -145 for the coin flip on the Super Bowl. Whether you play 1 play a night or 15, the math is the same. The vast majority of those NO plays you are making are huge negative expectation plays (that's why 95% of the time the play is either yes or no play). They will catch up to you in a hurry.

In My Opinion You Can Find Some Games That Have A Strong Advantage.
Every Game Has Different Odds. How Can You Compare A Game With An A's Game With A 6.5 Total With A Rockies Game That Has A 11 Run Total. I Think Of It More As A True Money Line For Totals.
As If All Games Had A 7 Run Total With Adjusted ML's. Would You Take An 11 Run Total For - 170 At 7 Run Total?
Although These Lines Are Definitely Shaded Against No Bettors.

You&#x27;ve hit on the key to success for this prop.  The full game O/U is highly correlated to the first inning prop.  The higher the full game O/U, the higher the YES% rate for the first inning.  Games with a O/U of 9.5 hit the YES at 55.1% while games with a 6.5 O/U hit the YES at 39.2%.  Team, batter and pitcher data are just random variation for this prop.And yes, the lines are horribly shaded against the NO bettors.GL

Coreyaas I have a question for you Boston vs TB game is -130 for yes runs in the 1st inning .. seems like they feel pretty confident they will score any input?

As u can see I don&#39;t usually feel good about first inning yes. However boston is a hitters ball park. I would not play either way as it doesn&#39;t meet criteria that I look for in first inning bets. Good luck if u play. Sorry for the late response.
