They still arn't adjusting there lines. I had the sox at +$ the first two games with the pitching advantage in both games! Sale last night as a dog was laughable. I guess they r never going to adjust the angels lines? I hope not bet against them all year at + odds. (clapping)

At some point u would think angels make a run. But that pitching staff is so bad and guys like pujols and Hamilton are actually bad hitters this year somehow

Especially Hamilton. So far this year u could make the case he is the worst position player in the league. Which is mind boggling to even say but look where he hits in the order and his numbers he's produced

He's gone from a Miguel Cabrera type hitter (contact with power) to the second coming of Adam Dunn.(1 HR a week sandwiched between 20 Ks)

I also realize you have no respect for my numbers but Santiago outscores Blanton 71.6 / 61.1 in pitcher line value points. That margin is worth about 71 cents in line value and the offensive probability is pretty close, not worth mentioning.
In defense of the odds makers, no, they are not behind or stupid or unaware, but they know Joe Public will bet his heroes and home field advantage, so they are forced to set the lines where they do. If the Angels win it will just be out of whack results heading back toward the mean, not some evil "Vegas Conspiracy". jmho

They will adjust their lines when the majority of people stop betting on the Angels. Yesterda, 2/3 of wagers made on that game according to any numbers I could find, were placed on the Angels going up against Sale. It's insanity.
Today people will point to Blantons decent numbers against the Sox even though they were accumulated with a different team behind him. They will also lean on the false fact that the white sox can't possibly beat them three times in a row at home. With all that said, they will not lose every game so if people keep throwing money at them, once in a while they will win and then get to celebrate like they saw something the rest of us missed, when really they're just spinning a wheel on a terrible team and hoping itlands on their number.
I mentioned to Jose Reyes last week that the Angels may be turning the corner after a quick 3 game win streak. As if on cue, they lost that night and since have dropped 4 of 5. I think your comments (and Key's too in post #14) accurately address the reality of the situation. Thanks, gentlemen.

Shrimp, I'll need Key to deal Pujols or Hamilton to the Rays for Matt Moore and some prospects before I can accept the Pitcher's coach job.
Advice from a Yanks fan, it would be the worst thing the Rays could do if they would pursue that trade, unless getting people in the seats is their only objective.

I'll need to see the lineups but Blanton is a contact pitcher and the White Sox aren't exactly a team that takes advantage of it. The line is funny, however.
