... Vargas is good, but Griffin pitches well at night, Vargas not so much. Griffin off to a much better start too. Oak bullpen a lot better. Oak also has a better OB% and their #1 in run differential.

LOL yet people taking the Angels because they are "due"

Almost a 50 cent swing, but yet OAK the big dog after leading in every important category.

Oakland will win cause Vargas's numbers at Angels Stadium are against the Angels.  He pitched for Seattle.  Angels have a decent offense and they were the sexy pic to over take Oakland and Texas but their pitching sucks and they are not going to out slug every team.  Oakland and Texas both have a decent offense but far surpass the Angels in the pitching.  Its sad but expectations are going to lead to Socia getting fired but really its Artie Mareno's reluctance to assemble a pitching staff. Instead of Pujols and Hamilton had he reached out and tried to lore Felix Hernandez and some bull pen arms I would be more sold on the Angels as a contender they are the 3rd best team in the AL West.  Rangers will win A's will get the wild card

A's do have some dominance at Angels stadium but the Angels rarely get swept at home by anyone. Think Vargas will be in good form tonight. We shall see

Well, I am new to this.

I will take my logic over the "their due" or "they won't get swept"

So does a baseball team get some magical power if they are down 2-0 in the 3 game series?

Why can't the motivation be equal for Oakland wanting to sweep the Angels in their own stadium. 

The whole won't get swept and "they are due" angle is the stupidest thing when handicapping a game compared to real performance and stats.

I may be a girl but that doesn't mean I can't handicap sports games.

Just looked this up for kicks.

The Angels were only swept 2 times in the entire 2012 season. Don't think either were at home. It could happen but I would be extremely cautious in backing the A's in this spot

its stupid to lay money on the angels in the month of april however tonight we have a anti sweep angle along with its first home opener series...  and not to mention its nick adenhart's memerial week.
