pucku it sucks to lose prado but he probably didn't fit the long term plans.

Kevin towers overplayed his hand once he signed cody ross to a 3 yr deal. He was still trying to get upton for a ton. Once he signed ross he lost his leverage. Plus he screwed up trying to trade him to seattle and the cubs. 2 teams on his 4 team no trade list

I love this move for Atlanta. 2 upton's in the OF with Heyward. The 1 sucky thing is who's your leadoff guy. I'm now excited for baseball season. I want to go now!!!!

I like the move. I know the views vary on Upton on this site but I still expect him to bounce back and be a great player. I can't say I'm sold on BJ but if he can turn it around and be what he "could have been"...this team will be that much more scary.

5dimes has them as the World Series favorites at +750. I can't exactly agree with that as I think the Nats still have the more reliable rotation. But there is no denying that this team is solid.

The DBacks have already begun talking to Prado about a long-term extension.

I locked in ATL this morning to win the WS at +2200.

That price since has dropped.

I had said in my wish list for my Tigers that I hoped they didn't get anybody named Upton. I got my wish and the Braves take them both. That said I don't think this is a bad deal for the Braves, getting Johnson helps along the 3rd base position and perhaps Justin will get it together and look more like the 2011 version on the future. BJ is still overpaid garbage in my book.

i don't trust Fredi gonzalez. I also will say he has had some awful luck the last 2 seasons. From the september from hell in 2011 to the infield fly this year. Fredi gonzalez has to think the baseball gods will smile on him eventually

Great trade for the Braves. I tihnk the Mariners package was a little better but Zona went for the NOW facter apparently.

Braves OF set for years. Justin is a great talent. Has unlimited potential.

BJ is still a very valuable player and very underrated for what he provides. Yes his average lacks but he hits for power,, gets on base, steals bases and plays some the best CF in baseball.

Heyward is a beast.

Johnson to play 3rd.
