what we have seen from verlander isnt.

so much of a surprise that the manager gave him the ball in the first NLCS elimination game.  And giving him the ball to start the world series, knowing that he will most likely get two starts.  I don't believe it was a surprise, he has been getting better as he's ended the season.  This is the man that was left off the 2010 postseason starting rotation because he was terrible.  This means a TON to him that he is starting game one.

Key I can understand you betting against Zito but I think your missing why Bouchy is starting him,
How long has it been since the Giants loss a Zito start?
8-2-12,13 starts the Giants have won in a row,he has not pitched great in all of them,in fact only 3 of those were less than 5 innings, the one you mention and 2 others since Aug.2,thats not bad imho.
Home record is 8-5 and in all home games 11-6,now Justin the best pitcher in this series has a road record of 8-6 and 9-9 in all games.
Now in the same period that the Giants won 13 in a row of Zitos starts, the Tigers were 11-3 since 8-6-12 in Verlanders starts, which is also very good, but as a value player that you are Im surprised you dont see any value in the Giants tonight.

Just wondering how Verlander made out on the road in a must win game 5 in Oakland.  I think not sure but i think he won fairly handily.
No he totally dominated.
