You cam throw that out the window when Jeter, Arod, Granderson, Cano and Swisher are all basically out of the lineup and not hitting and scoring runs!  It seems like all of a sudden the Yankees forgot how to hit!  On the other hand, Detroit is playing good ball and playing with Confidence And Leyland now knows not to put that horrible Valverde in the game late with a lead!

Is Detroit really playing that much better?  Very easily this series could be 2-1 NY.  Neither team has hit well. The Yankees have just hit epically poor.  Cano started to swing better and square some balls up last game.  I believe this series will return to NY and really like the Yanks in the next two games.  Good luck with whatever you play.

Here is my Detroit write-upDetroit has Scherzer going and he has better numbers vs the Struggling Yankees than his counter part C.C. Sabathia has vs Detroit. Scherzer is a solid 4-1 vs the Yankees with a 2.73 era. He is also 10-4 with a 3.51 era here at home this season and has a solid 1.88 era in his last 3 starts. Sabathia has a 3.87 road era and has allowed 8 runs in 13&#x2B; innings here in 2 starts this season.tail or fade?i really wanna take a total. but Detroit for the sweep. idk man GL to everyone

Find that hard to believe they have nothing to lose especially with Tigers pitiching in the next four Scherzer, Fister, Sanchez and then Verlander.  If they can beat all four of these pitchers then more power to them.

11-5 runs in series.  4off valvarde in 1 inning.  how anyone can say it shud b 2-1 nyy is comical.  they are overmatched by better pitching.  its as simple as that.  tigers off is giving their starters the 3-4 runs needed for a w.  going back to balt series, 14 runs in 7 games, 21 in 8.  yankees off isnt hittin epically bad, it is epically bad.
