Even I said it looked like it hit the pole. But only from one replay angle did I see that it MAY have. I still can't be sure about it because the other angles weren't telling. The point is...there is no telling, for sure, if it did hit the pole or not. Pretty much I'm already fighting for the whole "Orioles got screwed" reactions that are bound to come.

sparky your make a good point was it close real close/ kid sorry to tell you it did matter because the score would have not been 3-0. so yes all in all it really changed everything but it is what it is

OK, 3-1.
FWIW, I have a Baltimore +200 live bet so I wished it was called a home run too.

And now it really is 3-1!

The ball nicked the pole....the ball changed direction....the fans are not gonna say it was a Homer. I don't have High Def TV and I saw the ball hit and change direction....And I am a Yankees fan of 35 years and I can say it was a Home Run..

And the runner tonite was out at second on the tag by Cano.   All is fair in love and war.  So Yanks got payback and they will  be gone soon..  Cards versus Detroit WS, 1968 revisited.  The more we change the more we stay the same.

Watched it many times. Def hit the pole VERY slightly. No way it would have paint on it. It didn't hit the pole at mach 10
