#1 Posted: 10/10/2012 5:12:38 PM Need I say anymore? The 19 year old kid from Vegas is NO Mickey Mantle that all the scouts are touting him to be. Send him back to the minors where he can develope with the proper coaching. His head is getting way to big and his bat is getting Smaller. |

#6 Posted: 10/10/2012 5:21:48 PM I supposed we should send A-Rod to the minors as well lol. It's his first playoffs, he's pressing but he belongs in MLB. Guys go through rough patches like this 3 games during the season all the time and no one notices. When it happens in the playoffs it's magnified.

#8 Posted: 10/10/2012 5:22:45 PM He's pretty badass.. He just needs to get a feel for playoffs so he can get comfortable. I'm sure he will do much better as he continues to get to the playoffs |

#11 Posted: 10/10/2012 5:48:17 PM I wouldn't lay another dime on the Nats cuz they're going nowhere this year. If you're comparing Arod to Harper then you can put them both in the same category. I would stock up on Trout cards before buying anything with Harpers name on it. Besides, ARod is just another overpaid choke artist when it comes to the playoffs. You'll see next year as well if his batting average tips the .300 mark. Don't think he'll hit .338 like ARod did when he was 20 years. |

#13 Posted: 10/10/2012 6:22:26 PM hes still to immature atm. the witty answer he gave that reporter a few days ago after game 2 proves it. also he gets rattled/frustrated easy.
he may have all the talent in the world but ATM his mind isn't mature enough to calm his body down during games for him to stop swinging at terrible out of the zone breaking pitches.

#14 Posted: 10/10/2012 6:33:33 PM This is a clown thread, bro.
Bryce Harper is good at baseball. Even the best hitters in the game have slumps. The kid hit .270 with 22 dingers at 19. That's a great start to a career.
When players like Trout and Harper come along, you shouldn't hate. You should enjoy it. It doesn't happen very often. |

#15 Posted: 10/10/2012 6:41:42 PM If he is no Mickey Mantle, so what? Mantle was a player of the century, those don''t come along every day. If his experience squeezes his ego a little that is probably a good thing. A career is built on time, judgments based on one season or one playoff series are ridiculous. You need a dose of maturity worse than Harper does.

#20 Posted: 10/10/2012 7:22:19 PM what a stupid thread
absolutly garbage thread
sounds like the OP bet a lot on the Nats today, UHQB get at me before you make another pick............ NATS pick today in the early game was a very stupid pick............. no one to blame but yourself
oh and by the way.......... if Harper had hit 4 solo homers today and the Nats lost 8-4.................. your thread would have read:
Adam Laroche is the worst cleanup hitter in baseball
wisen up and pick better spots UHQB.......... no one to blame but yourself |

#22 Posted: 10/10/2012 10:24:47 PM Clown thread? Then don't commit on it. I will say this much. My son played with Bryce throughout HS and with his brother. He's been drafted and is in the minors. I won't say what the organization he's playing for due to privacy terms. But quite a few scouts have said he's way better than Harper. But politics with MLB are keeping him in the minors. Besides his major league team has great players with no room for minor leaguers to promote. Washington has crap players in their minor league teams! That's why Harper is up there. Why do you think he's not catching like he did in HS and college? Because Nationals have crap outfielders!! Zero propects that will mature to anything. Bryce is just a temporary chip that will sink underwater. Trout will be a superstar in time. |

#24 Posted: 10/11/2012 1:47:26 AM He was another choke artist like ARod. Hit a HR one out of every 20 at bats. |
