Edwin Jackson takes the hill for the nats in a huge "tide turning game". Jackson's post-season era sits at 4.91 with a whip of 1.50. In 22 innings of playoff ball he has gave up 12 earned and 5 of those runs where bombs. I don't trust him with my money that's for sure. The cards have just broke through offensively in this series with a huge 12 run game on Monday and have plenty of vets to keep the momentum going. Don't forget Jackson was on the cards team for there ws run last year and know what he's about.
Chris carpenter gets the nod for St. Louis, his last game which was one of only three he's started this year was a 6 inning 3 era quality start. Carpenter has a 3.05 era with a 9 wins to go along with 2 losses. My only concern with carpenter is how long he will be able to go. Starting only 3 games is good enough to get back in the thick of things but how good that arm will feel past the 6th inning is hard to say.
At first glance I really liked the cards to take this game. But digging deeper found a safer bet with the first 5 innings.
*3units cardinals -120 1st 5 innings
Good luck
