Sticking with the dog theme today. Hoping to go 1-1 on these games. Just not sure which one will hit.
Friday 10/5
St. Louis +161
Baltimore +181

#5 Posted: 10/6/2012 9:48:30 AM Wow both dogs hit!
Playoffs - 2-0 (+3.42 units)
Saturday 10/6
Detroit -187 (1.87 units) - The dogs can't keep winning can they? Verlander has faced the A's twice this year and only given up 1 run in 13 innings.
Cincinnati +112 (1 unit) - Cain is 0-2 vs the Reds this year. Pitching match up is even. Home/Away records are even. Giants have slightly better bats but cincy's pen is better. This is a pretty even match up so I'm taking the dog. |

#7 Posted: 10/7/2012 11:12:48 AM Yesterday - 2-0 (+2.12 units)Playoffs - 4-0 (+5.54 units)
Sunday 10/7
Detroit -149 (1.49 units) - I like the Tigers to win another close, low-scoring game with Fister on the hill. He's pitched very well at end of season with a 2.14 era and 1 whip in last 3.
St. Louis +101 (1 unit) - The Cards are tough in the playoffs like they showed last year. Cards average 5.24 runs off lefties this year. Gio had a better year than Wainwright but Wainwright has pitched better in 2nd half.
NY Yankees -155 (1.55 units) - It's tough for me to go against CC even though he is 0-2 vs Baltimore this year.
Cincinnati +141 (1 unit) - It's unfortunate for the Reds they had to burn Latos yesterday, but Arroyo is a crafty vet. He could pull off the upset here. Reds hit lefties better than righties too. |

Monday 10/8
St. Louis -111 (1.11 units) - Tough loss yesterday but I'm taking the Cards again at home. Zimmerman has better numbers than Garcia but Garcia is 3-0 in his last 3 starts with a 2.29 era.
NY Yankees -132 (1.32 units) - Petittie is still a great pitcher despite his age. I gotta roll with the Yankees again. |

Tuesday 10/9
San Francisco +134 (1 unit) - Vogelsong has a .53 ERA in his last 3 starts. Like the value with SF.
Detroit +128 (1 unit) - Taking Detroit for the same reason. Sanchez has a 2.57 era and under a 1 whip in last 3 starts while Anderson has almost a 5 era in his last 3. |

Wednesday 10/10
St. Louis +104 (1 unit) - Carpenter hasn't played much this season but I like his playoff experience.
San Francisco +132 (1 unit) - The Cueto injury hurt the Reds because they would've had a better pitcher in this spot if he didn't get hurt.
Oakland -104 (1.04 units) - The A's have been awesome at home this year so this is another winnable game.
Baltimore +154 (1 unit) - Gonzalez threw 7 shutout innings last time he faced NY. He's also 3-0 in his last 3 starts with a 1.8 era. |

#19 Posted: 10/13/2012 10:08:09 AM Nice comeback by the Cards!
Yesterday - 1-1 (+.25 units) Playoffs - 15-7 (+11.11 units)
I'm out of town so may not be able to post tomorrow.
Saturday 10/13
New York -130 (1.3 units) - I'm going with the crafty veteran Pettitte at home. Yanks are obviously great at home and the Tigers are below 500 on road. Detroit hits lefties worse than righties. I guess the Tigers flew from Oakland to NY yesterday even though they weren't sure if they were playing NY. They may not be adjusted to the east coast time but maybe that's not a big deal. |

Monday 10/15
San Francisco -111 (1.11 units) - I picked the Cards to win it all before the playoffs and I still think they will but I like the Giants to get a win here. Vogelsong has a .5 era in last 3 starts plus he threw 7 shutout innings vs the Cards during the season. I like Carpenter as well as he's usually solid in playoffs but since it's in SF I give them the edge. |

Tuesday 10/16
Detroit -176 (1.76 units) - This is a lot of juice but it's hard for me to go against Verlander, who has a .31 era in his last 3 starts. Also Detroit is 52-31 at home. Yanks are in some serious trouble especially with Jeter now out. NY may be able to win game 4 with CC on hill but I would be surprised if this series went more than 5 games. |

#23 Posted: 10/16/2012 2:34:38 PM Verlander is the biggest dead bolt, stone cold, lead pipe, lock of the millennium. At least someone is going to win some free money with me by taking Detroit. That's what it is. Free money. Doesn't come along like this too often. Lock and load on the lock of the millennium. |
