#15 Posted: 9/7/2012 2:41:45 PM After a shitty afternoon I got the evening sweep for a nice bounce back day. For his afternoon I'm getting things started with a lil w.cup qualifying action on a mixed sport parlay.
MIXED SPORT:
(1)POR/LUX O 2.5 -210 to PIT-PIRATES ML -200 to WASH-NATS ML -270 to CIN-REDS ML -210 = +300
Also took POR to win exactly 4-0 at +500

#17 Posted: 9/7/2012 2:53:09 PM Kinda liking this ATL RL deal. The
first day I hit BALTY -1.5 at +170. Then later that night lost SEA ATL
RL -2.5 +400 but I only risked 0.25 units on that one as a lil action
play. Then I hit the MUTS -2.5 +325 against STL on Wednesday afternoon
and dropped a unit on SEA later than night. And I did lose 1 more unit
Thursday afternoon on MIL -2.5 but got it back with BALTY -2.5 +325 vs
the YANKS last night. So all in all they're 3-3 +5.95 units after a few
days of tinkering with it.
Not
falling in love with them but in certain spots I think I'll give'em a
poke, especially with teams that like the long ball and can put those
crooked numbers up. Or against horrid teams and teams that have packed
it in for the year like,CHIC,HOU,T.O,BOS ect.
Tonight
for example PIT -2.5 +190 against the Grubbies may make the card.
Burnett (picked him up for a spot start) has been rock solid at home
with a 2.94 era,8-2 rec,73 K's to 23 BB's in 85.5 IP and is holding
opposing batters to a .234 avg. Also he's owned the CUBS this year with a
2-0 rec in 2 starts (1 home 1 away) 14.1 scoreless innings allowing
only 7 hits and 4 BB's while K'ing 14 and holding CHIC to an ugly .140
b.a
Wood
goes for CHIC and he hasn't been horrid but when you play for the cubs a
road era of 4.36 and an opposing b.a of .247 and 37 K's to 21 BB's will
only get you a 2-6 rec in 9 starts. Also his young looks to be totally
gassed. Check out his pre & post all star splits.
Pre: 62 IP over 10 starts for a 4-3 record,3.05 era and .208 opponent batting avg
Post:58.1 IP over 10 starts for an 0-8 record,6.33 era and .279 opponent batting avg
Not
sure how I'm gonna play this yet but right now I see the -1.5 is
even,-2.5 is +190 and -3.5 is +300 and for the daring/crazy -4.5 +450.
Also leaning towards using WASH & CIN ML's with PIT ML in a couple
of vig busters. Just not a big fan of laying that -200 on S.U plays. I
do it about once every 6 months and quickly get reminded of why it's
been 6 months since I did it last.

#23 Posted: 9/7/2012 4:46:50 PM I've been rolling with the O's for a
couple weeks now and they've been getting the job done at good prices
while everyone waits for them to fade. Well so far it hasn't happened
and until it does I'm staying with them. And tonight they get another
decent price at home vs a struggling YANKS team that sends Phil Hughes
to the bump. Hughes seems to like his home cooking more than life on the
road though. At home he has a solid 10-4 rec in 15 starts (93.2 IP)
with a 3.56 era & opp b.a of .240. On the road however those number
go up quite a bit. His record is 3-8 in 12 starts (68 IP), with a 5.03
era and opp b.a of 2.88. And the O's haven't been to kind to him either.
In his 3 starts against them this season he's gone 1-2 (16.1 IP) with a
5.4 era while they hit a solid .300 as a team. Whats even better for
BALTY backers is that all 3 of those starts were at home where his
number are much better and tonight the O's get a look at him at Camden
Yards.
Hughes
counterpart tonight will be Wei-Yin Chen and he's having a solid and
more importantly consistent season with his home/away splits being very
similar. But since tonights game is at home and against the YANKS thats
what I'll concentrate on. In his 14 home starts he's 6-4 with a nice
3.45 era in 86 IP. And he's also held up well against NY going 1-1 in 3
starts (2 home,1 away) and lasting 19.1 innings over those starts.
Chen's era is also respectable at 3.08 but most impressive to me is that
the YANKS opposing b.a vs him is only .208. Given that and the fact
BALTY is 10-3 L13 while NY is scuffling along at 3-7 L10 and 5-11 L16
and I think BAL ML -105 is a steal and like last night I may also mix
in an ATL RL as well. BAL -1.5 is paying +170,-2.5 +250 and -3.5 is +350 |
