#5 Posted: 8/11/2012 1:51:32 AM What do you guys like about the UNDER in NY/TOR?
Nova usually gets good run support, and Laffey has been getting shelled his last few outings. |

#13 Posted: 8/11/2012 9:21:13 AM Don't like the AAA Jays(my team) under .Laffey gives up the long ball too often and Nova doesn't seem to be fooling anyone lately.Showers are in the forecast here in TO which means the Dome will probably be closed. It tends to get very warm in there when it is closed. One thing in your favor is the early game time.American teams feel very comfortable when in TO and tend to do late nights on the town.A little sprinkle on the Jays moneyline may be a good thing. |

#15 Posted: 8/11/2012 9:27:28 AM which side do you lean on bombers matchup? UNDER can be risky, IMO, because ump may be Jim Joyce, his Str/BB is so dangerous to UNDER backers in this spot. plus, when he was behing the plate, american league teams made OVER. didn't check Laffey's stat, but i DID nova's one, and i don't trust his at all. so risky sliders. and Jays fuXXing errors will make this game OVER too. wish you GL anyway. possibly bombers will win at any rate, maybe pretty tight one in an OVERISH way

#16 Posted: 8/11/2012 10:03:33 AM Thanx Thread'ers
@ TOR/NYY *UNDER* = I don't have any solid, sound reasoning on this play but knew it'd be a popular 1st play of the day and the vast majority would he siding with the 1.) OVER and 2.) Yankees
I think that this game woulda got the same OVER action if it opened @ 10/10.5 but yet it opened and it's holding @ 9.5 which is a bit odd, but didn't wanna think too much about it.
Appreciate all yours guys' insights and breakdowns. Greatly appreciated, to all Thread'ers, in case one is rolling a different way. |

#17 Posted: 8/11/2012 10:04:22 AM @ duranizm = definitely leaning Yankees on the side. A -1 play would run me about -120 |

#19 Posted: 8/11/2012 10:13:47 AM Johan Santana (ankle) will be capped at 90 pitches in his return to the rotation Saturday against the Braves. Santana was limited to 38 pitches in his last rehab start, so the Mets will smartly limit his pitch count. It's possible he could be spaced out down the stretch to avoid fatigue, as manager Terry Collins wants to make sure he goes into the offseason without any setbacks.
The Braves ML looks a little better now with less Santana and more Mets terrible bullpen.
BOL today Gil!! |
