The lines are getting really tight right now.. just a word of caution for everybody I would tread lightly.  The books have these games by the nutsack.

Whats your take on the Toronto line? Late game tonight, plus travel?

is the 2nd half of the season generally harder to make a profit then.

I don't think so.  I made my biggest run last season mid August.  I think the last two weeks of the season are hard to bet on, I try and stay away and get ready for the post season.  Other than that, the rest of the season is fair game.  I'm just mentioning the tight lines because that's the impression I've gotten the last few days.

In my opinion, yes...unless you can really grasp the value of call ups later in the season, Pitcher regression ...I try and find pitchers who regress later in the year or who haven't pitched high totals throughout their career..August and September can be valuable when oddsmakers can't adjust to newcomers or players fighting to stay in organizations.  July Through late August can be disastrous to some and I have a tendency to pull back a bit.  If I can be up 200 units at the All Star break you most likely will not see as many LARGE plays from me.

I'm going to the game tomorrow.  What do you like so much about the Tigers?  Seems like they struggle against lefties.  Didn't catch much of the game today, but Diamond had his way with them.  I'm liking an under play here.

It's simple, Sanchez is one of the worst pitchers in the big leagues.  He's one bad start away from being sent back.  Detroit seemed to wake up offensively late in the game and I think they carry that momentum into the new series tomorrow.  I wouldn't be surprised to see them put up something crooked on the board.

I suppose. He has pitched well in his last two starts against Detroit.  Maybe the travel, being on the road, and Detroit's momentum will make this game differently.

The fact that he already has two starts against them is more important to me than the fact that he pitched well in those starts.  I think he's a horrible pitcher and now that the Detroit line-up has seen him not once, but twice, they should know exactly what to look for tomorrow to do some serious damage.

So what do you think has led him to becoming such a poor pitcher?  It was only 2 years ago he had a 3.07 ERA with 205 k's.  He's still pretty young.
