I remember back in '07 and '08 there were A TON of blown late leads and saves. The years after it had stellar closers and bullpens. This year...NOT SO MUCH.

Granted, but they are in the toughest position in baseball. How often is a starter succesful? Once every 2 starts if that?

Plus it looks a lot worse when degenerates are betting 8 games a day, and they're getting a blown save everyday.

Papelbon tonight, Heath Bell in that 13-12 game, Aroldis Chapman in a 2-1 game, Santiago for SF up 3-2,  Out of the last 10 bets I've made, probably 7 of them have been lost in the 9th, man i know i sound jaded but god damn.

Giants blown save is sickening.

Cain wasnt all that impressive himself giving up two homeruns on his way to the dugout.....lazy cocksucker

I would expect nothing less from papelbon hahahahaha

The talent pool has shrunk because too many teams exist.  This will continue to happen.

Papelbon's was bad because he had 2 outs and 2 strikes 3 times in a row and missed all 3 times. No clutch pitches in his arsenal, he only throws heaters and not with that much command

Some of these closers should be re-labelled "openers", as in "open the floodgates".
