Hi all, newer to baseball capping, had a question regarding the "Pitchers/Umpires" in depth section on the match-up page.
Is this strictly for capping totals? Will the umps with tighter zones lead to more runs due to walks? Sorry, kinda confused as to what I am looking at.
Thanks and best of luck.

Take a look at their records for the favorite/underdogs and also their O/U record and how many runs they average a game.
The Under umps usually have a higher wider strike zone to call more men out
Over umps have the tight zone which allow more base runners and pitcher to throw down the middle

The O/U number isn't particularly important.
The key number is strike percentage. Umps with big zones will be above 63%. Umps with small zones will be around or below 62%. There are some websites that break it down further using systems like QuesTec and similar tools...
