#29 Posted: 5/22/2012 3:38:34 PM Hey Gil. Good to see you tearing it up again. I see you're Reds TT play. Is this based mostly on the CG SO factor or do you think Beachy is just pitching over his head? I've only seen him pitch once, which was vs. the Rockies on a Sunday 2 weeks ago. I don't get how this guy does it. He's been amazing this year, somehow? He doesn't seem overpowering. I'm going big on the OVER in the Reds game tonight, just the one game, and I can use a W. Thoughts? |

Yesssssssssssssss! That was awesome!
And to answer your early question on HochOVER -vs- Hughes - I don't like the OVER at all with the O/U 9 @ +money most places...
Another night of cold bats for the Yanks, I believe... |

My Reds *TT OVER* play is the CG Shutout factor, AND the 122 pitches Beachy threw a couple days back was the most pitches he's thrown in a game... in his career. He never exceeded 120 pitches in an outging before last week.
The Reds are in the Top 10 in the MLB (5th in the NL) hitting lefties and they've seem to turn the corner of inconsistent to quite consistent winning 3 in a row - the Yankee Hangover from the past weekend didn't come into effect yesterday when most though it would as the Braves were the more hungover team after winning the series in Tampa.
I do like the OVER play tonight as well - and I'll be locking it in & posting before gametime.

Goes with my reasoning on the Beach fade tonight, except in this case it's not backing J.A. Happ when he pitched a scoreless outing - his last outing he went 6IP with NO earned runs.
Since Happ was acquired by the Astros from the Phillies, he's had 4 games where the opposition scored NO runs off of him - his follow starts; 7ER, 2ER, 7ER, 4ER with 1 win, 2 losses, and 1 ND. Small sample size, but I'm going to roll with the Cuckin Fubs breaking their 7 game losing skid this evening.

#50 Posted: 5/22/2012 8:54:05 PM NIGHT CAPPER:
D'Backs ML @ -130 = [3U]
SEA/TEX *UNDER 7* @ +100 = [1U]
Mariners ML @ +140 = [1U]
OAK/LAA *OVER 6.5* @ -115 = [1U]
Athletics ML @ +134 = [1U]
*NOTE* = Big Night Capper Card - Harang fly ball pitcher on sticky night @ Arizona plus coming off NO ER outing. Playing the lines on the SEA/TEX matchup with a low total for TEX showing Mariners good value +DOG. CJ Wilson meets scrappy A's.
