I was going to not play this game  -  but I like what I saw from another member on the Reds.  I dug in myself, and furthermore liked it.

I like NOTHING about the Padres in this game...

They are coming back to the West Coast from the East Coast after 5 games back there and they aren't set up with a night game, either.

They are a terrible hitting team @ home -vs- the road  =
.212 / home  -vs-  .241 / away
2.95 runs scored / home  -vs-  3.72 runs scored / away

And the last 3 years, Clayton Richard has a losing record @ home (12-13) and a winning record on the road (16-10)  -  a losing record @ home in what's suppose to be a pitchers paradise.

Anyways  -  I'm a big supporter of the Padres as Road +DOGS but a big supporter of the team playing the Padres @ PetCo.

Since 2008, the Dodgers have won the 1st game of the series played @ San Diego 9 out of 12 times.  So they are 9-3 in the 1st game of a series played @ San Diego since 2008.

Just dug up this stat.

Hey Gil,

Do you know how you ended up doing last year in MLB, units wise?

Just dug up this stat.

And the Dodgers are 24-8 in their last 32 during Game 1 of a series.

No Kemp today  -  but both lineups look evenly, ugly.  The Padres will have a full squad of right handed hitters (all but P Richard) going for them today -vs- the lefty Capuano.

BUT  -  Chris Capuano has owned right handed hitters this year as they are hitting a buck 68 (.168) off of him.

I believe the line drop in this SD/LAD and the line going towards the Padres is because the release of the Dodgers putrid lineup  -  No Kemp, No M. Ellis, No Loney, No Speedy Dee...

Gonna be an ugly game.  GO DODGERS...

I hate james loney

Hes a free strikeout for the pitcher
him sitting is a positive

that being said,  the dodgers are 15-4 when he gets a hit

I have that left on my own pending list if I want to make a play on it or not  -  I'm heavy on Minor getting touched up tonight.

I will, however, be fairly large on the Braves tomorrow no matter the outcome today.  Beachy over Nolasco.

I was looking at Santana's numbers this year:

vs. Left .282 OPS
vs. Right .728 OPS

Reds with a massive righty lineup today.

Also Santana never faced Cozart, Mesoraco and Frazier.
Look at the numbers of them against lefties.

Maybe Spaz and you are on something here.
The line smells pretty bad.

Spaz turned me on to the +125 line that I got from my shop  -  I further went into it, and also took the Reds *Team Total OVER* as well.

Great numbers on Santana -vs- righties and I saw how Dusty Baker loaded the lineup full of righties...

I also like the Reds are 5-1 this year after a loss  -  and I never like to back a team after a shutout, and the Mets lost yesterday 8-0.
