CBS Sports had a good writeup.  The wind is blowing in from center field at 20 mph so I'd be careful with an over bet.

take the under, SNB is notorious for unders last season and i believe they are 1-1 so far this season. love the pitching matchup to help this stay under also.

Price is 0-3 in 6 career starts against the rangers

TAMPA BAY RAYS 1H +½ -130 [1.55u to win 1.20]

first 5 innings
very simple analysis

although price has career struggled vs tex he will be prepared today
in starts last year vs the rangers

6.2ip 3er BUT pitched the first innings of SHUTOUT BALL
and
in a starting pitcher REMATCH of tonights game
6.0ip, 2ER while
holland went 6.2ip 3ER

holland is going down from the start of the season
price is going up from the start of the season

dont buy into price's career starts vs the rays, he has pitched well vs them last year but couldnt get enough run support and the bullpen fucked up it up for him, he was in line for the win in that game i just described above

texas bullpen is much better than the rays so thats why i am taking the first 5 innings bet and im getting half a run!

over the last 5 games
tb hitting VS LHP = .270ba, .343obp, 6.14 R/9
tex hitting VS LHP = .196ba, .245obp, 2.84 R/9

Rays will win this game because they have BJ upton on their team and unfortunately for the Rangers they do not have him on their respective team.  Take Rays ML

Just messing with you ... side is lean to Texas..... not enough value for me to bet the side however.

We have someone AT THE BALLPARK posting in my thread and NO, the wind is not as bad as the report makes it out to be.  Then again, from all I read, wind coming in actually comes back out in a nice little stream.  Bettors have a tendency to overplay wind ... you don't need 9 homers for the game to go over ... you need HITS ...
