Friday : 2-2-0 +4.09 units

Extremely frustrated with myself for not backing Matt Cain yesterday in what has been a very profitable situational spot for me over the years.  I have the stats at work, but he has tremendous numbers coming off a start where he allowed 5+ earned runs.  And he delivered yesterday and I foolishly was on the sidelines.  Lesson learned. Moving on...

Minnesota Twins +145 (6 units to win 8.70)

Dangerous side to be on this afternoon against the mighty Rangers offense with their hyped up foreign superstar.  Darvish wasn't good in his first start, but he battled, which showed me he likely will be a quality pitcher in MLB.  Patient opponent this afternoon in the Twins and he might find himself having to dig in like he did in his first start.  He got bailed out getting to pitch against Hector Noesi at home, so he'll get a more formidable hurler on the bump today.  No, I'm not overly impressed with Blackburn, but can't argue with his home splits over his career.  His two best splits in hsi career are home and day and situation sets up nice for him this afternoon.  Following a home start where he alowed 5+ earned runs, Blackburn is 5-1 with a 3.00 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in his next home start.

I was just looking at this one, Spaz.  Hopefully they don't spot Texas 5 runs, like they did with Anaheim the other day.  Good luck.

Spazzer

All over the Twinkies  -  and got a 'lil bit on the ALT Runline as well...

Blackburn in a bounce back situation...

And you can't kick yourself that much for not backing Cain  -  you didn't wanna back the Giants bats with that offense and that made perfect sense.  Cain was juiced up as the linemakers might be familiar now with Cain coming off a poor start...

At least you hit with Beckett yesterday, another one of your favorite bounce back starters.

Let's tear up the weekend, Spaz.

Jose - think this only wins if Minny jumps Darvish before the Rangers jump Blackburn.

Manassa - I don't like that. GL my friend.

broker - Rangers have had hitting success against Blackburn, but in home starts vs. the Rangers in his career, he's allowed a total of 5 earned runs in 20+ innings.  I wouldn't be touching this game if Twins were on the road.  I think Darvish is getting too much street cred.  Wilson laid a lower number when he came to Minnesota last week.

Getty - thanks buddy.  GL on the over.

Kirbs - thanks buddy. Good seeing you posting

Mike

GiLmo - probably right about Cain.  I'm always better in hindsight.  Just hate missing profit when favorable situations arise.  Here's to a good weekend

Chicago White Sox RL +165 (5 units to win 8.25)

0, 2, 2, 0 - These are the earned runs for Gavin Floyd in his personal home debut over the last four seasons.
