The truth is it's hard to argue with anybody on sides right now but this Joel Carrano kid is getting this start by default, Laffey and Cecil are in the minors getting their garbage together and the Jays have their home opener vs the Red Sox monday, he only pitched 5 innings in spring training with a era of 5.40, this almost seems like a  throw away game for the Jays, leaning the over.

Good stuff Logan. Like Derek Lowe in this spot as well. Tribe have the motivation, like you mentioned. Thanks for stopping by, and good luck tomorrow.

Carrano is the real deal...I'm just warning you all...I'm liking Toronto Sunday.

Carrano appeared in 11 games for the Jays last year pitching 15 innings giving up 11 hits and striking out 14, era of 1.15

Quick hit thoughts on your leans:

- Unknown quantity in Carrano, so can't really give you much on TOR/CLE

- Think there may be some value in Niese at the current number.

- MIA/CIN line seems about right.

- Don't know if I'd be willing to lay around -125 on the road with the Nats. Zimmermann is real good, no idea how Samardzija transitions to a starter role. Too many variables here for me.

- Might be too late to bet the Giants. Opened -105/-105 but has since risen to -115 SFO, think all the value may be gone.

GL tomorrow Jose.

Carrano wont be going long into the game tomorrow is my concern.  They sent em down to stretch em out get some innings under his belt extend his pitch count.  Jays struggle vs soft crafty throwers (see Derek Lowe).  Im sitting tomorrows game out (Rare as i see a ton of value with the Jays this year, will be betting on them ALOT.  Already have a large amount of money on them over 83 wins on the year.)  I hope they win tomorrow but laying off

yet they're are not hitting, got some talent in the lineup but all struggling...
game 1, only 1 good inning where they score 3 runs,

cant back a team that is struggling at the plate,

IMHO

g, Mitchell: good luck guys

Tone: like the spot for the tribe tomorrow. Lowe is just the guy for the job too. I like Niese. No way braves get swept by the lowly Mets. As for the Natty lights, I am a big fan of Jordan Zimmermann. Pressure is on Samardzija. Even if the Cubs have a lead, their pen is sketchy. Like the short price there.

Always enjoy your feedback Tone.

Now that i think about it it's not uncommon for a kid like Carreno to have a solid start fueled by adreniline, the Jays bullpen have already pitched 11 innings, they need them fresh for monday,,hhhmmm. I think i'll scratch that from my lean list.

it's not out of the question to think a healthy Mets line up is as good as the Braves, how often did they have a full lineup last year?

Kentucky: I have 2 units on the Jays over 82 wins as well. That said, I am fading the spot here for them. Rookie pitcher, clinched series, home opener against the red sox tomorrow. Look ahead spot. Like the pitching matchup too.

since 1900 only 163 teams have started the year 0-3. love my jays but i'm going to be riding the indians tomorrow, however betting on lowe is scary.

a little scouting report on carreno

slider is plus, his fastball (low-mid 90's) could be plus if he could control it better, the change is just a pitch to keep hitters honest and not something he could ever really rely on. There's also somewhat of a consensus that he'll end up in the bullpen at the major league level when it's all said and done, largely because he only has one above average pitch and 2 overall useful pitches.

could be a high scoring one tomorrow

hhmm, tough day tomorrow, the Dodgers are my only decided play, might just roll with that if nothing else hits me, maybe the over in TB.

The season is only 3 days in, plenty of time for the offense to get going.  Maybe a rookie pitcher, without a full bullpen to back him up is just what Cleveland needs.  GL.

Lean to Tampa tomorrow.  Not sure I want to get involved though.

Good luck LL.  Relatively even pitching matchup in San Diego.  No feel there.
