Barry Zito and Alex Rodriguez, what a waste of money |

#77 Posted: 10/19/2012 7:24:33 PM I'm betting on Zito. SF has won 12 straight starts when Z is on the hill, with Zito going 7-0 - He's given up 2 or less ER in 7 of those 12 starts. He's the best pitcher in the rotation right now, why wouldn't I back him getting +150 with an SF team that plays very well as dogs when everyone still sees the Zito of 2009? |

#78 Posted: 10/19/2012 7:30:30 PM Aug 2 @STL Zito pitched vs Lynn except the line was STL -210 and now it's only -160 ? You faded and lost as SF won 4-2 - SF had Melky and STL still had Furcal, which makes the disparity even larger than it currently is.
Looks like some of you don't have any friggin idea what you're talking about when it comes to Zito |

#80 Posted: 10/19/2012 8:04:25 PM Same observation that applied to CC applies here: if an offense licks more balls than all the happy porn stars put together, then it doesn't matter how well you project a starter a pitch. Zito can't pitch for as long as his own offense can suck, and in this case (as it was in the Yankees case) that's potentially one very long time.
In this series, San Fraudcisco has scored 8 runs in 2 innings, and mustered only 7 runs in their other 33 innings. |

#95 Posted: 10/22/2012 12:07:03 PM 23-11 in Zito starts this year. Just going by the Lines covers has, you would be down $1,852 if you were a $100 bettor. |

Could it be most of the time Zito does not get matched-up with the other teams best pitchers? |

#98 Posted: 10/24/2012 8:17:01 PM Knew this thread couldn't be killed, of course I couldn't have been more wrong on him this year but, I think he's the comeback player of the year, congrats to him!
Having said that, I'm on DET -1 -130 just cause I still can't believe it!
