#56 Posted: 2/29/2012 3:57:30 PM I like the Nationals under 84.5. Nats are improved and have talent. But, a lot of inexperience, key players coming off injuries, and a very tough division |

#57 Posted: 2/29/2012 4:45:45 PM Maybe but picking up Gio from Qakland was huge for the rotation. If lidge can figure out his head problems they have one of the best 7th 8th 9th innning guys in the NL lidge Clippard and Storen. I think that win total is about right. |

#58 Posted: 2/29/2012 5:14:09 PM One other thing I forgot. The weakest part of the Washington team is the outfield. That all changes if they bring up Bryce Harper. He may start in AA ball at the beginning of the season but he wont be there long. |

#59 Posted: 2/29/2012 7:21:23 PM Nats have been hyped up this offseason. Win total went up two games in the first week. Never go with the hype. If Bryce Harper is what I have to sweat on this under, then I am in good shape. Much like the rest of the Nats, terrific talent but inexperienced. NL east is tough. With Phillies expecting to win 95 or so games, Braves, and Marlins are expected to be over .500. Numbers just dont crunch to have Nats at 85 wins. Key players coming off of injuries, Washington still has many holes to fill up and down the lineup, and is talented but inexperienced in the rotation. I do agree with you about the bullpen, though. Solid. Good team, just not 85 wins good. Not yet, at least... |

#60 Posted: 2/29/2012 8:11:08 PM Jacksup you make sense I just cant pull that trigger on that under. At least to me on paper they are an above 500 team. Which is why I said I think the line is right at 84.5. Also just checking I live in Vegas where did the line move 2 games? LVHC (Hilton) open 84.5 -110 still 84.5 -110. I have not gone out to the M yet to check it but I have not seen it move. |

#61 Posted: 3/1/2012 2:25:06 AM Read in an article that it moved two games. Only assuming its true. http://www.covers.com/articles/articles.aspx?theArt=265515
Im betting Nats under, Giants, Reds, and Rangers to win their respective divisions. I will be out there in 13 days to place these bets. If I win two out of the four, I make a little money.
Luckydax, you have any leans, thoughts, or bets about upcoming season? |

#62 Posted: 3/1/2012 2:44:38 PM So far only bet I have made is Rockies season win total over 80.5 -110. I love Hernandez coming over from natty to replace Iannetta. Like the fact that they got rid of Houston Street. Leans maybe in another week still going over all the depth charts and following spring ball. Also I read that covers story and I just dont get it. The relesed totals are in this link. I took the rockies 80.5 over http://www.vegasinsider.com/mlb/story.cfm/story/1240894 |

#63 Posted: 3/1/2012 4:39:44 PM Not sure why anyone would bet the Rangers to win that division. Not getting good odds and I think the Angels win it by 9+ games. |

#65 Posted: 3/1/2012 5:32:12 PM Angels may run away with it. Oaktown has Mccarthy listed as there #1 starter lol. Seattle loses Pineda for a catcher confused on that move and Rangers home field is nice but Nathan has a lot of questions not to mention Feliz moving into a starting role. |

#67 Posted: 3/1/2012 6:00:23 PM Angels and Rangers in a dogfight. I dont think either team will run away with it. Ppl will bet Angels, and Rangers price will end up being alright. What else do you like, earthwake? |

#68 Posted: 3/1/2012 6:42:10 PM Mccarthy is not a #1 9-9 last year with most of his wins coming at home 3-7 last 10 7-13 last 20 on the road including time played in texas.. If he pitches in pitcher friendly oaktown he is fine but I just dont see him as the guy you want opening day and the ace of your staff. |

#70 Posted: 3/1/2012 7:18:54 PM True you never will make money doing that. But half of those 20 road start was when he was with Texas. Last year was his first full season with Oakland and his 170 innings were the most he has ever pitched in a season. Could be a sign of turning a corner or lead him to more injuries. |

YES !!! This is exactly my thinking. Public LOVES the Angels, rightfully so, so this line could get pounded enough to put Rangers at +150 |

-124 to -164 at home is your friend (has to start and stay inside of these parameters)
