Out of Tampa and Boston who is the most dangerous team that may threaten the Yanks in the post season? Answer = Tampa
Why wouldn't the Yanks take this opportunity to elimate the Rays from making the Post season now.
Boston are limping into the playoffs ( if they make it ) and would surely be an easier proposition for any team in the 1st round of the post season.
Yanks won't tank tonight and will endeavour to beat the Rays so as not to meet them in the playoffs. So the value in tonights game and maybe Tomorrows are the Bombers. Lets get it
Oh nooo! Now we're using this angle...hehe
How about we just handicap the game and agree that Yankees are way too undervalued here as they should never be +190 dogs to the Rays. Last time Colon pitched in Tampa he was a -105 favorite against Hellickson on July 19th. Today he's a +190 dog (I think the odds have dropped a bit now)? Tons of 'value' on the bombers |

What do you think about the game now? As well, the line has jumped to -145 due to the pitching change.
just booked it at -155. thanks for the ogando tip.
going to go bigger. |

#171 Posted: 9/28/2011 7:19:46 AM 0-2 on the day.
I gotta say, this Hellickson guy is lucky as heck: 6 innings, 6 hits, 5 walks only 1 K, and he gives up only 3 ER's! Double play with a man on 1st and 3rd with zero outs minimized the damage in one inning and a triple play with bases juiced and zero outs killed another -- wow! I'll most definitely be looking to fade him if Rays move on and he gets a start in the post-season (I doubt it!).
By the way, what was Tex thinking on that double by Swish? How does he not score from 2nd on that?
Ok, I feel better now. Moving on...

Thanks, BOD. Colon impressed. I was surprised. I was also surprised with the lineup Girardi trotted out there. Hellickson has been doing this for a while, getting out of big jams, as i mentioned earlier. All in all it wasn't the way I envisioned it happening, but I'll take the "W".
Soriano must have been in on the tank job. I was shocked at how he just grooved pitches throughout the 7th inning...... (jk)
