Chances of them making the playoffs are up to 28.6% as of this morning.  That's a 13 fold increase from the day you made the bet.  Amazing.  Theoretically, you could already lock in about $1000 in profit if you could find a book that offered odds against Stl winning the NL.

Last 2 lossers were a dagger. No way STL goes 5-0 and ATL at lesat 2-3. Not with that awful behind bullpen. It was worth the run though!

This team is absolutely hot right now but they are not beating the Phils in the playoffs or even the Brewers with that suspect bullpen. But damn you have hedging options out of your behind to still receive a HUGE payday.

I respect that but these guys did just 3-1 Philly in philly against hamels and halladay only losing to oswalt. The bullpen does scare me however if they do get in youre right im hedging my behind off.

Even if they can just get to the 1 game playoff at home on Thur, you could start hedging with that game as you would probably get Atl as a dog.

I'm rooting for you.

What were the odds for STL to win the WS when you placed that bet?

Great bet, win or lose

I actually didn't look into the WS, i was kinda just shopping for a future just for fun and when I saw the price and the 3 game series in ATL, I kinda just went for it. Im feelin lucky fellas. 9.5 games back and its down to 1 with 3 to go.

Gotta give the Cards and LaRussa a lot of credit.

They are probably going to make it.

Lol at all the people using the "impossible" logic for a +40000 bet. I'm pretty sure he knew at the time of the bet it was unlikely, like anyone would on a +40000 bet.

On a serious note, GL in the next couple days. That +40000 turns into +400 if they make the playoffs.

What would be the best way for me to play this? Should I just fade STL for the rest of the way they go?

The only way the season ends tonight for the Cards is if Atlanta wins and they do not. So I would lock in that parlay today for a small amount...

It really all depends on your level of risk tolerance at this point.  You could throw $30 on Hou +168 tonight to make sure you at least make your money back with an outside shot (13%) at a win-win if both Stl and Atl lose.
