I swept the Sunday night plays to go 5-3 yesterday.
I didn't think I'd have a play today, but the some stuff really stood out to me in the early game.
1) It's a single game series, so Colorado is in and out of town after it's over. So, a get away day game. 2) The total is set very high, which means the wind is blowing out, and this levels the playing field between the two clubs regardless of circumstance. 3) The Cubs are a live dog at home. 4) Rockies struggle at Wrigley historically. 5) Garza isn't a slouch.
Chicago Cubs ML (+119)
I may also add a little on the RRL and/or 1st 5 Inning spread. We'll see.
I'll check in and out today while I work on some blogs and columns.
Today's card is small, but there seems to be a lot of good plays on the board. Have one of 'em? Post it in this thread! I like making money. :)

I don't like the line movement on this play right now. It's rushing towards Chicago.
I might ditch the Cubs and play the Over instead. Stay tuned.

20-45 their last 65 in that role. Many a bettor has gone broke backing the flubs in that role.

Hi SJP! :) One other thing that you might like to take into consideration before committing to action on the COL/CHC game, is that Chacin is more of a ground out pitcher and Garza is more of a fly out pitcher. Given the degree to which this line is skewed because of prevailing conditions, you might want to give this stat for the SPs a bit of a closer look.
Best of luck! :)

Colorado's team mojo is probably very good today; it was really great yesterday, but they had to deal with the Yankees bats at the Yankees' crib.
No mojo info for either club today (Rockies 'n Cubs), but the Cubs' bats don't scare me and they are up against Chacin. Garza is no slouch, yes, but Colorado's bats are more than likely to get to him than the Cubbies' bats are to get to Rockies' Chacin.
And I like the idea of a bounce-back win for Colorado. Even though the Rockies may struggle historically at Wrigley Field, they don't always struggle and the data to me suggests a bounce-back win for the Rockies today.
Rockies -- 8 to 10 Cubs -- 4 to 5
So it's Rockies RL and the Over; hedge bet of just the Over for me.

UK! Hello! Thanks for pointing this out to me.
There's always something a little crooked about these singular day games . . .
