that makes zero sense...no one who plays baseball would ever say something like that...obviously it makes sense if u were to cancel out the losses from wins, but no one ever says that

Ok...so he lost more games than he won. I'm still waiting on who you think would have done a better job in taking his place. While Lee was 7-8...what if his replacement was 3-9? Odds are his replacement wouldn't have been better.
I still can't believe I'm still going back and fourth here. Saying a team is better off without Cliff Lee is laughable.
However...you do contradict yourself. You say that he "can't pitch in Arlington" as well as bring up his win/loss record. Well...in the regular season...the Rangers were 4-3 in his starts in Arlington and 2-6 in his starts on the road.

Which is an argument. We're talking talent wise here. No rotation is more talented without Cliff Lee as opposed to with Cliff Lee.

DCM, Stros fan here, not sure I agree with you buddy. While I feel Cliff Lee can be overated at times, he's still one of the best in the game, just not a GOD like some make him out to be. I agree he blew toward the end of the season, but Sparky pointed out reasons for this. Almost all pitchers go through a bad stretch during the season as well. He just happened to hit his late, pretty normal if you ask me.
Ever heard of a Big Game? Big Game Pitcher? Money Pitcher? Well, that is Cliff Lee. That is also why Pettite will be in the Hall of Fame. Cliff Lee is one of the top Big Game Pitchers in MLB. He didn't have the best WS, but he pitched amazing in the other Big Games of the Playoffs.
Until he is a cancer in the locker room, he will benefit every major league club.
I liked Lance, but all good things come to an end. He had his moments, but I'm sure its hard to be as motivated with a rebuilding team. He will be back in the organization at some capacity down the road, he has said as much. I can't hate on him too much except for wanting to go to the Cards. I think he'll be a liability in the field, might hinder them more than anything.

Lance Berkman was asked a question and he answered it giving his opinion. While his opinion appears wrong, it was just his opinion. I am not sure why you are calling him names and talking about how he sucks. This is exactly why most players don't give their opinions on things.
