Pedro can only pitch once and hamels is not deserving of 2 an Happ is almost as good as lee.

Interesting how you choose to leave Pedro out of his 2nd start AFTER you saw he stunk it up.

#3 Posted: 11/5/2009 9:06:19 PM no if i were the manager this wouldve been the rotation i put out there.. pedro has a history of needing 10 days rest.. this isnt hindsight 20/20

#4 Posted: 11/5/2009 9:28:07 PM Before the series even started I said Lee needs to start at least 3 games to give the Phillies a chance and some Philly fans were disagreeing with me and tried telling me their rotation was too deep that they don't need him to make 3 starts. So much for that...

#5 Posted: 11/5/2009 9:36:36 PM Yea what HAPP-ened? The guy was great in the season, sometimes simply dominant, then you ditch him for Pedro talk about damaging a rookies confidence.
I mean im all for Pedro getting some starts, but why all the sudden did they not like Happ as a starter? |

Well I can't say Pedro has a "history" of needing 10 days rest. I do agree that Happ should have started and Lee should have gone 3 games. I'm just saying it's easy to think about these things AFTER they lose. |

#8 Posted: 11/5/2009 11:05:16 PM Charlie M got schooled by Girardi....
taken to the woodshed and beat down, Charlie M looked like he had better places to be...
He knew it didn't matter who he threw out there, except for Lee, who was to pussy to pitch on 3 days rest....???????????

#9 Posted: 11/5/2009 11:09:13 PM Charlie Manuel Managed This World Series Very...VERY Poorly.
Happ should have been a starter and should have started in Game 2. (I said that from the start).
If you would like to think in hindsight, then obviously Hamels wouldn't be in the rotation but I had him in there over Blanton.
Finally...Lee should have pitched Games 1, 4 and 7.
He got too confident for no reason and blew any chance he may have had to win this thing.

#11 Posted: 11/6/2009 7:48:55 AM Manuel is one of those stubborn, loyal to a fault guys and it may have cost us but was certainly not overwhelmed by Girardi. |

#16 Posted: 11/6/2009 10:45:32 PM happ is almost as good as lee. yea i stand by that comment.. check his stats.
I wouldn't say girardi is a smart manager per say.. after all he sat
the world series MVP 3 GAMES in philly when he easily couldve played
right field.. LOL!!
but as a phillies fan i am surprised that pedro
got 2 games and blanton got one as well.. i stand by the rotation i
posted. |
