Is the new A-Fraud.

He has looked horrible in these playoffs.

What an awful at bat.

Pound for pound, dollar for dollar Angels front office probaly feel a lot easier and happier as they aquired Kendry Morales and not resigned Mark Teixeira for 2009. Tex has done nearly nothing offensively in WS by going 1-18 something like that.

He's having a bad series, but so is Ryan Howard.  Neither team would be here without those players.

that is all

How does one series suddenly make someone clutch or unclutch? Stupid. Tex had a great series last year for the angels. That counts. He did hit a walk off homer in game 2 alds this year and had a big homer in game 2 world series off pedro. Hes struggling. So what. Quit overreacting. Hes had a great year. Also hes saved about 8 runs with his glove

I'm no Tex fan but he earned his money already because didn't he hit a crucial HR late in a game to tie or win a game? Minnesota ring a bell?

Marnypoly you could be the biggest waste of time on covers>>>> Seriously, how much money have you lost this World Series alone? I've seen your ridiculous plays.  PS Nice Avatar, you should be capping what DJ is playing in the nearest club, not talking about sports

Baseball forums are unique to other forums, plenty of homers vs haters. rare money talks though.

Marnypoly said he was "all In" on the Phillies on Sunday, and had his "teaser of the week" as well... Ask him how those plays went... Now he starts a Teixiera thread

Pujols is the best 1st baseman.

All the rest are a notch below the greatest player in the game today.

Its hypocritical of Yankee fans to berate and bash Arod from previous playoffs becasu the Yanks didnt win but when Tex is doing the asme thing he gets nothing.

If not for Arod the Yankees would be behind in this series. Tex is getting a pass because Arod has been unreal.

Best offensive 1st baseman... Why don;t you take a look at Tex's defense this World Series, hands down has won a game or 2 for them Defensively! And the entire playoffs...PS Jpero I have no respect for you anyway

oh yeah, Yankees need Mark to redeem himself on Wed. night and have a big game. Swisher was benched before he had good Game 4. Hopefully Teix has an A game coming Wed. night.

Tex was a worst defensive fielder than Pujols this season and over the course of the past 3-4 seasons. Pujols is the greatest all around player in the game. He does everythign great.

Tex is the 2nd best fielder behind Pujols.

And the only reasno you dont respect me is cause I dont slob on the knob of the Yankees. I am not a Yankee fan so you dont respect me.

Also cause I dominated you in that debate about the state of baseball and salary, revenue sharing, etc you are bitter. You don't like how you were unable to pass off your Yankee bias and distorted truths as fact.

Certainly agree ,I think the guy has always been overated and just a money hungry asshole.Lost all respect when dude insiste dhe preferred to play near his hometown in Baltimore. They offered him a fortune but the Yankees offered afew more million. Now what in the long run is the difference between 150 to 170 mill when you are up in that area its kinda crazy anyway. But greed took its toll and guy is performing like any average player at best. Not worth it in my eyes. Also agree that Howard has been bad in this WS so no disagreement there either.

Ill tell you what the difference is. A yankee jersey or orioles jersey. Winning counts for something. Orioles are a joke. Like it or not if everyone got paid the same exact amount in baseball, most would still want to play for the yankees. Just the way it is

I hear your point but in this day and age I really am not sold that winning is all that matters or the main thing when inking a contract.
