Philly fan's ideal situation: Win both in New York

Philly fan's realistic ideal situation: Win just 1 and bring homefield advantage to Philly.

With that said...it's just a 1-1 series.

Outstanding starting pitching from both sides both nights.

As of right now, the Phillies have homefield advantage, but nobody really has the right to gloat.

We've seen that the Phillies bullpen is hitable, so nobody can say that the Yankees' bullpen is a joke because the Phillies' pen isn't impressive either.

Yes...A-Rod is 0-8 with 6 Ks...but Howard just struck out 4 times and 2-9 isn't great either.

Game 3 brings the Yankees' most clutch starter in the past against the Phillies clutch starter from last season when Pettitte v Hamels face off. Great matchup if everyone is on, but I guess nobody can make predictions anymore. Philly fans said Sabathia would get lit up like last season. Yankee fans said Pedro would get knocked around. Philly fans said Burnett would be a laughing stock and get his ass kicked. None of those were the case. So nobody was right.

Here's to a much better series than I had expected before the series started.

P.S...Pedro just said he was under the weather and wasn't eating right the last 2 days and wasn't feeling strong...however...He "won't use that as an excuse."

Pedro makes millions and millions and that's the suit he pulls off? I'm not surprised. I'm laughing at this suit he's hearing.

Eyre looked phenomenal and Madson struck out the side in the 8th.  Our bullpen looks a lot more stable.

And, bring Burnett and his 4.6 road ERA on three days rest against a fully rested Cliff lee in game 5.

Wait, if Pedro is that bad, that makes your offense look very mediocre

If the NYY win the WS (which I think they will and have bet on it) they will be doing it in NY and not PHI.  The best NY can hope for is to win 2 out of 3.  Personally, I think NYY win Saturday and probably lose Sunday (Lee pitching again) but may win or may lose game 5.  BOL!

Yeah he was great, especially with the beneficiary of the umps

I don't see Burnett pitching on the road. I think it will be Pettitte, Sabathia and Gaudin. I think Sabathia would beat Blanton(if he is indeed pitching) for sure and I'm not sure what Pettitte can do. I don't think Girardi wants to pitch everyone on short rest as he doesn't know how they will respond, Pettitte especially. If the Yankees have 2 wins going into Game 5...Burnett gets the nod again for Game 6. Girardi has all but said himself that Gaudin is starting this series.

You think just because you split at home, I'm going away hahaha.

And, don't expect me here during the games over the next however many.  I'm going to game 4 and will be out in Philly for 3 and 5, but I will be here after win, lose or draw.

I'm out.  Enjoy the win.

Lets agree that the umps were equally awful.

A-Rod's last strikeout was a ball.

Howard's last strikeout was a ball.

Howard's "double play" was not.

Chase was safe at first on that "double play".

Can't be out after that comment.  Please stop haha.

If Gaudin starts, game 5 is a laugher.  Dude has a .300 BAA against lefites and has walked more lefties than he has struck out.

Now, I'm officially out haha.  Laptop clooooosed
