only if Cliff Lee can pitch all 7 games I mean really how in the hell is Pedro going to win game 2 and Cole Hamels is so suspect right now he has to be scheduled to pitch at home instead of in his normal slot as the #2!

and lets not start on the bullpen, wow I cant wait to see Lidge sitting in the dug out in a late game and the Phillies ahead he might shit himself right there

Charlie Manuel didnt put out the rotation after game 1 so were do you get your info that Pedro is going game 2 and Hamels at home in game 3. Lidge and the bullpen have been solid all postseason so again what are you talking about. And as far as the comment about the "only people that would back the Phillies are homers" Thats because the whole world is going to all over the Yankees just simply because of their name. Im a homer and as homers we all the make up of this team. This team is like no other and Philly hasnt seen a team like this in years in any of its 4 major sports. This team doesnt quit and losing is not acceptable. I wont say that the Phillies will win the series but I will say they have a hell of a shot. To me if the Phillies go back to back its going to be Chase Utley that makes the difference. He hasnt been himself as of late and if gets back to himself I think the Phillies will be World Champions once again.

Homer Yankee fans have blinders on. I just don't understand why they think they are so much better than us?

We waltzed into Yankee stadium this year and went 2-1, should of been 3-0. The Phillies will not be intimidated.

I think some of the Yankee players like Swisher, Joba, Hughes, Burnett, are going to find it rough playing in Philly.

Yes I am biased as a Philadelphia Phillies fan and want to let everyone know that. With that out of the way I will give honest opinions of the upcoming World Series games with the Defending Champions vs the Most Storied Franchise in History.

For Game One I am taking the Phillies+154 with C.Lee going against C.C. Sabathia of the Yankees. Unlike many WS, the Phillies are very familiar with C.C. and beat him in the NLDS last season. Sabthia has also give up 6 HR's at Yankees stadium this year, most of any stadium and the Phillies have hugh poppers. Lee has been lights out and has already gotten through his hick ups for the season. I look for this to be a very close game, maybe even 1-0 and I believe that Lee has a much better shot at a complete game than does Sabathia. Also, Remember... The Phillies ARE the defending Champions so they are more than use to being in this situation. I give the slight edge in this game to the Phillies and at +154 they are my pick in game one.

This pick is for game one only. I will pick on a game to game basis. Good Luck

Hook, let me first say i like the Phillies more then the Yankees.

However looking at the series match up with a gamblers perspective the Yankees look like the better wager.

The Yankees are heavily favored over the defending champs

So line wise, i think Vegas is saying the Phillies don't have much of a chance.

I am a Yankee fan and I said the line would come in at about 2/1 for the series price...i was close...My book has it as Phils &#x2B;175 and Yankees -200 even....I see great value in taking the Phillies here...this series could easily go 7 games..no doubt

First of all the Phillies play the rays last year incomparable to the Yankees by far

2) the Yankees have seen cliff lee a number of times remember he was in the AL

3) C.C in in the zone, and the bats are heating up

4) the yanks play the hot Twins, swept them, and the scrappy Angels, the Phills played the slumping Cards, and the Young Dodgers... now they play the experienced yanks

remember this they face C.C when he was on a different team not the Yanks, and He was pitching on 3 days of rest for like the last week and throughout the play offs so lets be serious how could you bring that up, and i know the Phillies beat the Yanks earlier in the season but so did the Red Sox, and he Angels and where are they now
the Yanks are battle tested unlike the teams the Phillies played the Yanks can make those late inning comebacks
