#1 Posted: 10/22/2009 1:05:31 AM Last 5 playoff series, havent lost more than 1 game. They are a wrecking crew buzzsaw.
The Yanks are clearly talented (and better be for that $$$), but betting against the Phils is just stupid. DO NOT DO IT.
That's at least a 6, and most likely 7 game series.
Cliff Lee and CC Sabathia will pull their weight. The question is who will pitch better between Burnett, Pettitte, Joba and Pedro, Hamels, Happ, Blanton.
The Yanks mid relief is shaky at the moment, the Phils has been shaky all yr but they're compensating by using starters (Happ, Blanton) in that role.

#8 Posted: 10/22/2009 12:07:54 PM I think NYY in 5 and I am not saying that to be an a$$ either that is just the way I see it. I would really like to see a game seven because those games are so magical as a baseball fan but NYY is a bigger buzzsaw than PHI. I could be wrong though. BOL to PHI and NYY fans!!! No disrespect to LAA fans but whether tonight or in NY your team is done.

#9 Posted: 10/22/2009 12:29:09 PM Hamels has struggled this postseason. He has been giving up some bombs. How is he going to fair in New Yankee Stadium? Utley & Ibanez are struggling too. So to say they're so good it's almost boring is a bit of a stretch. They have holes just like the Yankees do. Don't get me wrong the Phillies are a solid team just not a "wrecking crew."
