What an unbelievable concert I saw last night; Asia/Yes at the Capital One Theatre in Westbury, New York. For most of you who have never been to the theatre, it is an incredible venue seating approximately 2000 and it is a round theatre with a rotating stage throughout the concert. There is not a bad seat in the house. Asia was spectacular. While they are clearly not youngsters, they put on a spectacular show. For hardcore old-time fans, in addition to the best Asia songs, they did tributes to several prior bands that members were part of playing "Video Killed the Radio Star" (the first video ever played on MTV and Geoff Downes, their keyboardist, was a member), "Court of the Crimson King" by King Crimson (John Wetton was a member) and "Fanfare for the Common Man" by Emerson, Lake and Palmer featuring a sick drum solo by the ageless Carl Palmer. Truly spectacular. Yes certainly has a different look with Benoit David replacing Jon Anderson on vocals and Oliver Wakeman, Rick Wakeman's son, on keyboards but still jam like the old days. Steve Howe, who at 61 years old did a doubleheader playing guitar for both Yes and Asia and bassist Chris Squire were spectacular and while they didn't play Gamehunter's favorite, "Starship Trooper" they were outstanding. The show lasted 3.5 hours and I'd pay $1000 a seat to see that concert again.

Now the only downside to the concert; seeing the White Sox beat the Yanks 10-5 and then waking up this morning to find out Clayton Richard of the White Sox was traded and didn't pitch so my bet was cancelled. It just wouldn't be right for the Padres to lose tonight with me backing Clayton Richard for retribution.

Beach day for the Gamehunter family today so I will not be online (can't answer questions) until late tonight so feel free to bash as I know my friends here have my back.

Looks Good Game!  I don't think they are going to get the Rangers game in this evening.  We've got some nasty wheather down here!  Debating whether or not to Go.

FYI - The Wife worked a charity event with Kevin Millwood's wife today and she just texted me to say that he will skip his start Monday because of the pulled High Hammy!  Obviosly they are close....

Chapstk's Movie Sports Quote of the Day:

Crash Davis: Your shower shoes have fungus on them. You'll never make it to the bigs with fungus on your shower shoes. Think classy, you'll be classy. If you win 20 in the show, you can let the fungus grow back and the press'll think you're colorful. Until you win 20 in the show, however, it means you are a slob.

Good Luck!

Surprises you were not on any of the 3 you mentioned but both of those games were good to stay clear of as they could have gone either way. Just wondering why the Cubs. That is a lot of Chalk for you.
