We are gamblers.
Irrespective of what our abilities are as far as winning money on sports or managing our money is, we are all painted with the same brush by those who don't share the same interest.
Betting on Sports isn't something I can just openly talk about with women, my work colleagues or boss or my family.
In a corporate environment, if it becomes common knowledge that you are gambler? That's not good for you or your prospects at that firm (regardless of how good or responsible a gambler you are or consider yourself).
Bottom line is that Covers is the only place I can come and communicate with people about sports and betting on sports (which is something I really enjoy in life - like or hate it).
Covers is a brilliant resource and outlet for what we like doing.
Emotions and adrenaline will run high (particularly with myself as you would have seen). People don't mean to say shit on here. Its just heat of the moment and what's on the line.
I cannot for life of me understand why people want to fuck this site up because they are envious or immature or adding insult to injury by laughing or ridiculing others when they have made bad bets.

Vic. Co-workers will think "sports handicapping" is something cool and legit. Just don't say "betting."
