With that said this line, as I'm sure everyone can see, is doing some quirky things. With the vast majority of the money coming in on the Tigers the line has nosedived in favor of the A's. To me this would normally signal reverse line movement which as we all know is pure gold in the betting world.
To me this is a case of the oddsmakers trying to pull a fast one on us casual bettors. They know that if that they could not make this line Tigers -140-150 because too many sharps would slam the A's with that kind of value. So what is the next best thing to do? How about slam the line value down to make it seem that the A's are the correct play due to the line movement.
In my opinion the Tigers are the play but after their performance in Houston I can't back them. Nor can I back an A's team that can't score a run with this kind of pitcher on the mound. Thoughts appreciated, just wanted to give everyone my two cents.

you make some good points about the line movement. At first glance it looked like a solid spot to bet the tigers. Pocello is very solid, that being said, hes very younge. im still going to take the tigers and hope the As lose their 6th in a row.

I think im going to parlay the tigers/over, i figure more likely than not if this one goes over the tigers will be the ones putting up the runs, like you said the As have a shit offense and pitcher tonight.

Line movement has kept me FAR FAR away from this one.
This is my exact point. It has also kept me far away which I think is the point. I do believe the Tigers are the right play, and the oddsmakers are doing everything they can to limit the damage. Best of luck to anyone playing this game.
