I was on Washington in 4 of their last 5 games and I will not stop today. As I said yesterday, this is a competitive squad since game 1 of their series vs Reds and that happened more than 10 days ago. They are not scoring a whole lot of runs, but they don't really need to as their pitching has been very good. Martis has been able to keep the Nats in the games in almost every one of his starts and he has a 5-1 record. His current form is the best one he had all season. ERA of 2.00 in last three starts for him. Romero is a great young stud but after pitching extremely well at Texas, at Philly, he is due for a letdown here in his third straight road start. The Jays lost 6 straight as road faves.
Twins -125
Minnesota is now 47-15 in last 62 interleague games. They haven't lost a series at home against NL teams in 2 years. The pitching matchup seems to be even here and I just believe that we have a better overall team at a good price here. It is strictly a value play. Minnesota pen messed the things up yesterday and instead of going into this game 2-0 in the series, they are tied against an under 500 NL team. In a lefty vs lefty matchup I gotta take a team that is hitting them better. In last 10 games Minnesta is .299 vs lefties and Houston is .255.
