last night wasnt shocking, just another dissapointing night in the season...
who really thought after delgado went yard that the game was over??? no one...if u follow this team, u knew the lead would be blown....the only question was who would be the goat
The only reason they tied the game up (the Mets) was cause the cubs pitcher (samardaizja) couldnt throw a strike....if u were watching the game, Ramon martinez looked scareed shitless, and that bat was NOT leaving his shoulder for NOTHING.....he wanted no part of that at bat
in the 9th inning, they were WALKING WRIGHT, but Wright wanted no part of it...so he swung on 3-0, 3-1 and 3-2 on a pitch in a different zip code
Church, what can we say....Church is a disaster
Im not sure i can remember the last time with so many opportunitys with runners on thirdand no one out , that so much nothing got done with the heart of the order up
The bottom line in all of this is, a team like the Angels would have won that game 5 times over...teams that understand baseball fundementals win that game every time..this team hasnt played sound baseball all season.....one night its the starters, the next its the relievers, the next its no clutch hitting, and the next night its no hitting at all......teams that refuse to take walks when they are gifting them to you (cause u would rather be the hero) lose that game as the mets did last night.....
I dont know what the next few games holds for the Mets....but i dont think they deserve to be in a post season, where winners play.....and even if they do make the past season due to Milwaukee losing as well.....they are history in the first round......that Bull pen is Brutal and not fixable
Not really sure what i just said in all that rambling above....but met fans will understand that i just needed to vent
Maybe our only chance is to Pitch johan every game the rest of the waym, cause in JOHAN i TRUST ...........thoughts or commenst are welcome

Peter Gammons was talking about the Mets mid-season, before Willie was fired, and he said something that stuck with me.
He said, when a team blows it like they did last year, that kind of stays with them, and history has shown us that these teams don't return to glory until they're broken up. He references that Cubbies team that blew the series to Florida. Yes, you can blame Bartman, but the Cubs still blew that series. They didn't return to prominence until most of the players from that team were gone, including the manager.
I hope this isn't the case with the Mets, but I'm sure last year's wounds haven't healed, and another collapse could be on the horizon. Again, I hope I'm wrong.
Also, I think it's a MAJOR mistake extending Minaya for 4 years. If they do collapse again, I think he deserves his fair share of the blame.
Regardless, lets go Mets

please dont even get me started, i am a long time cub fan and i bet against my squad yesterday and really needed that win bad.I was jumping up and down in the bottom of the 9th and these bums cant even get a run in with no outs, what a joke. I hope they never get in the playoffs again. I hope it takes them a hundred years to win a world series. I hope they lose out this season bunt the damm ball get the run in however you have to, im still irate over that game and to top it off i had baltimore. i hope harden no hits them bums my kids 3 he could have put the ball in play, and bob howry mets you should be ashamed of yourselfs.

The Mets are the most overrated team of 2008. They gave Minaya an extension?? Are they insane or what?? He has made more bad signings than even Brian Sabean of the Giants. The Mets are a team comprised of mostly Latino players because Minaya has an affinity for them..and that is not said to be disrespectful...it is said because it is true. The clown signs Moises Alou again after a great 2007 season..LOL...some funny stuff there.
Since my Giants have an abominable manager and have played terrible baseball all season I have had to watch the Mets do the accordion once again and last nights disgrace was the coup de grace...They will lose again tonight as Pedro will get rocked by the fine Cubs team...and then they had better pray that the Cubs show up in Brewerville or they will be home for the playoffs.
The Mets are a sad excuse for a team...and without Santana they would be one step above the Nats...Sign Minaya for 4 more years..maybe they can lure Bochy away from the Giants...PLEASE PLEASE......OY VEY Mets...LOL

Tonite Pedro will teach us a leason! I think he´s the one for this situation! Last year was last year... not gonna happen again... My heart speaking... Plus i cant wait to see this team with a decent bullpen next season.

Haven't watched many Mets gms this season, but have caught a bunch the past couple of weeks on my mlb package...its really amazing how much the brewers and mets mirrow each other this season...whether its a late bullpen meltdown or failure to manufacture runs it is amazing the similarities (and dont forget both teams making in-season managerial changes, and each team having 1 horse in their rotation thats dependable). But considering both teams payrolls and expectations, i would have to say this yr mets fans have much more to be frustrated about...Go Crew
