on the other hand, hes facing a triple-a caliber team.....and the nats won last nite so theyre probably good to lose their next 7 or 8 before another w.....everything about this game points to no play for me

Going with Nats for the first 4.5 innings @ + 190; I’ll take the extra at-bat and hope for the best.

 

 

As for Marquis being -300; yeah, he’s possibly the worst -300 pitcher in history. Can anyone remember a pitcher worse than Marquis at this price?

leaning nats +2.5 -135 or nats to be leading after 4.5 +180 ......no play yet though.

Let's run through the situation here:
 
Chicago:
 
Better team
Better hitting
Better fielding
Better fans
Better beer
Better dirt
Better record
Marcia, Marcia, Marcia
 
Let's face it, this team has solidified a playoff spot. These types of games they should just dominate. However, not always the case.
 
Washington:
 
Really aren't better at anything here, but losing. However, they showed great perseverance and resilience last night after being down and caoming back to win.
 
If everyone remembers last year this team, along with KC, came on strong in the late part of the year. Teams are not hyped to play Washington we all know that. This is when you can take advantage of spots like this. Only this time of the year will you have these opportunities.
 
 
Either way, even if Washington craps out in this game it was the right choice as far as value is concerned. There is absolutelty no value in Marquis at -300 at an over inflated public line and team today.
 
I took Washington last night and I will take that profit and ring a ding here today.

I'm with you ABook and taking the profit too. I'm thinking the Nuts will have a chance here. Marquis @  -300 you got to be kiddin me.  Don't get me wrong, the Cubbies are great this year but they're struggling with their offense lately.   Go Nuts !!!

Marquis should never ever be a -300 pitcher guys....the line maybe inflated but it should tell you that the Cubs will steamroll this team today....On another note its pouring here in chicago right now so expect some delays

Got the Nat 1st 5 also...looks like a good bet.  VALUE is the key here.  Lannan is 2.40 ERA on the road and shut down the Cubbies earlier this season.

I'm steering clear of this game. It's got sucker written all over it on whichever team or total on which you make a wager. Nats +1.5 and Nats 1st looks attractive, but this team is bad and I don't have any confidence playing the dog here. The Cubs are completely overvalued and Marquis is average at best. The Over/Under looks like bait as well with the weather conditions. Best to leave this one to those that must afternoon action like I need coffee in the morning. Total crapshoot and is like betting on a coin flip.
