By far, the most civilized forum at covers. It isn't the fact that a mod ( Lippsman ) is always here, but, the people here are just good folks.
 
I hit many forums, and also like to "stir the shit", but, this forum seems to have open dialogue, without name calling and insults and threats.
 
It is filled with FANS, who have passion, but, respect others opinions ( except Flyer fans, but, Geoffrey got banned  )
 
It is truly relaxing to come here, and talk hockey openly and respectfully, and get others points of view, without
"OH YEAH.....YOU'RE AN IDIOT "
 
Well done guys, looking forward to the playoffs

Hey c'mon Mets,i agree 100% about the people in this forum but no need to bash all the Flyers fans because of 1 fan....i respect everyones opinions here and dont bash anyone and im a diehard Flyers fan.

I have to agree.  Seems like all of the other forums are filled with jerks who just wait to point out another poster's loss.  Bunch of lemmings...tail a guy when he's doing well and bash him when he's losing.  But here...people are civil and congratulate each other on a win.  And when someone loses, people say "tough break. get 'em next time" or they just don't say anything at all.

most of the Flyer fans in the forum like tone and vicb are pretty reasonable. seen more "jerky boy" Ranger fans in here, BUT usually "drive bys" who are not regulars or even real fans of the sport, than Flyer nasty's.

This board is the best because despite the fact that hockey can be a violent sport,the players (for the most part) have class,and the fans are even classier!

I agree Mets that the hockey forum here is civil and respectful of each other. Great job by the mods as well, but i would like to see the "regulars" in here be more "accepting" of new guys that periodically come in here with their input.  Remember without "new blood" everything gets stale and sometimes the new guys have GREAT PICKS (ahem)

I would love to get Lippsman's perspective on this, I am guessing they need to "mod" this forum less, because the guys keep it clean.

i think this forum accepts new posters better than any other....

but when you get a jackass it does not matter what forum you are in that person will not be looked at in a good way

As long as someone comes to covers to contribute, I don't mind a guy who has been here before, but, if they come back just to cause problems, and never give out plays, but then slam peoples plays, I say "off with their heads"
