Solid night for me in the NHL yesterday....went 4 - 2 for a profit of 2.66 Units.
I'm going to try to keep things going with tonights card.

Toronto likes to play a wide open style at home and this fits the Caps perfectly...I look for a high scoring game and with all the chaos going on in Toronto I wonder if the players are going to come out 100% focused tonight. I will take the Caps at plus money tonight.
I will probably add a couple more plays later on today.

And one of the first things I learned about the NFL forum is you have not arrived as an established/respected capper until you have your first stalker/hater.....I see people post for weeks with nobody bothering them.....go on a run and instead of people thanking them for their plays all of a sudden they get the stalkers/haters
That's the great thing about the NHL forum....for the most part you dotn see that kind of stuff here....
But it's all good, I find them kinda funny
this guys went on for a week telling me how the Packers were going to destroy the Giants....on and on all week....he is just pissed that he now looks like an ass-clown in the NFL forum...

yea agreed.......i had alittle spat myself recently...although no one stalked me due to my prospect status, i can see how amusing these foums can be when someone looks foolish for picking a loser. i did it myself and learned my lesson..........keep mouth shut and keep ears opean.
im with ya on the caps......they just beat my pens the other day and looked pretty powerful on offense....of course so did the pens without crosby. that being said...the over seems like a good pick! as far as the victory goes.........is there anything that sways you guys on the present status of the caps besides the current streak? they seem unpredictable.

Well, for starters I'm swayed by the fact that they are 16-7-4 under Boudreau. They averaged 2.2 GPG before him, and 3.5 GPG with him. Since Backstrom was placed on the same line as Ovechkin he has been NHL rookie of the month in Dec. and seems to be the front runner to repeat in January, with 4 assists in EACH of his last 2 games. No rookie has ever done that. Semin is healthy and is returning to the form that saw him score 38 goals last season. Mike Green leads ALL defenseman in goals.
I don't think you can call this current hot streak a fluke, because they've been hot since the day after Thanksgiving. They've had the talent all along, but Hanlon wasn't doing a good job of coaching. His lines were awful, his strategy was pathetic.
Boudreau has come in here and done a 180. But he didn't pull magic out of a hat. He had talent to work with, he simply put that talent in a better position to succeed.
Oh, and don't look now but the biggest disaster on ice, Mr. Kozlov has 2 goals in each of his last 2 games. WTF?
In summary, it's not the current streak that has swayed me. This is an extremely talented offensive bunch. They just needed the right puppet master to pull the strings.

It's when you make yourself look like an ass while picking that loser that you get yourself in trouble....

Also, earlier this year in Toronto, while the Caps were struggling big time, they went in and dismantled the Leafs 7-1.
At some point teams are gonna realize you can't get into a big guns type of game with Washington because they're gonna get theirs. You've gotta beat the Caps with a trap. It's a boring game, but that's how you slow them down. If you give Ovechkin and Backstrom room to operate, and you take a lot of penalties, they're going to burn you.

I like Washington at +115 too, but Toronto's announcement of a new GM and the fact that the Leafs players will need to put out an inspired performance on home ice makes me a bit gun shy here...
I would rather go STL/Van Over 5 @ -115.
