Mr. Andrew Hammond will be in net once again for the Senators and through his first 2 starts he has performed well, earning wins against the Canadiens and Panthers. Both of those wins came at home, but now he gets his first start 2,344 miles away from home in Sunny Anaheim. Now to be fair, I didn't know much about the young fella so I did some homework on what he's done in the AHL in the 2014-2015 season. He appeared in 25 games, posting a 3.51GAA and a .898 SV%. What I'm saying here is this is a perfect letdown spot for him. He's been good the first two games, but away against the top team in the Pacific should be challenging and his first taste of West Coast hockey.
Gibson is in net for the Ducks again, and at home he's been nothing special. In 4 home games, he has a 3.21GAA and a .887 SV%, playing against the Jackets, Wings, TB and the Caps. Definitely some tough teams in the mix there. Over the L5 games, he's posted a .895 SV % though so he hasn't been anything special.
The Ducks won a comeback game on the 23rd vs the Wings and have had a day off to relax on home turf while the Sens have been off for 3 days but are on the first game of their western road trip.
The Sens have been lighting the lamp as of late posting 22 goals in their last 5 while the Ducks haven't been too shabby either having scored 16 in their last 5. You take the averages and it looks like a 6+ goal combined effort should be in store here.
I almost feel like this game will start off just as the Ducks last game started. I think Ottawa will score the first goal and the Ducks will need an intermission wake up call before they end up pouring it on late.

Is it my imagination or does Eric Karlsson get a point on every Senator goal when he's on the ice? Anyways, the Ducks have been shuffling the lines a bit lately and even made a trade. So far so good. I can definitely see this going over. Gibby vs. Hammy.

Agree i like the over, but Gibson has been fine, it;s just the Ducks D is horrible, and they will probably get knocked out early YET again in the playoffs.
