Season: 6-3 +$375
2) Blues ML (-140) $140/$100: Right when I went to fire this bet the line changed from -135 to -140 which made me cringe but still gotta pull the trigger. Similar to what my boy HookEm said in his thread the Blues were robbed 2 nights ago in LA against the Kings. The Blues dominated that game with a major territorial edge and they had a major shot advantage as well. They just ran into a brick wall in Quick and fell in the shootout. I see them taking out some of that anger in this one and Mike Smith hasn't looked sharp in the early goings. I would be pretty shocked if the Blues didn't leave the desert with a W in the win column.
3) Isles/Pens o5.5 (-130) $130/$100: This game will be pretty fun to watch as you got a very exciting up and coming Isles team with plenty of offensive talent vs a veteran Pens squad that has more then there fair share of star power themselves. The Isles enter 4-0 and the only unbeaten team in the league. They enter with an eye opening 19 goals in there first 4 games, having eclipsed the 4 goal mark in all of them. On the defensive side of things they haven't had as much success allowing 12 goals in their first 4 games, with a consistent 3 in all of them. Strong offense, poor defense and shaky goaltending is a great recipe for an over regardless of the counterpart. It just so happens the counterpart in this one is the deadly Pens who will be playing with a chip in their shoulders following a quiet effort against the Stars. Prior to there 3-2 OT loss to the Stars the Pens had scored 11 goals in there first two contest of the young season. The Pens scoring has a large part to do with a PP that is off to a red hot start having converted 6 out of 13 times for a jaw dropping 47%. Obviously that number won't be sustained in the long haul but it should play a nice role in contributing to the over in this affair. Not a huge trend kind of guy as teams often change but the recent 4-1 over record between these two seems appropriate for the guys taking the ice in Saturday's tilt.
Big card on Saturday with plenty of options for each one of us to get excited about. I am not gonna over think it or try and get too cute. Sticking to these 3 plays and hopefully find myself with a 2-1/3-0 type of day. Best of luck all
