My calculations have them at about 45 wins this year. Again, public perception of the Pens is the reason this number is high. I expect a much weaker Pens this year, can't imagine them hitting 50 wins at all. Pens bread and butter is the offense with Crosby/Malkin, but their defence is shaky and the Flower is mostly a skunk (Le Rink reference).
I see them below the Flyers and potentially the Ranger this year in the metro division. Let down year for the pens.
Another good bet is Flyers to win Metro division at +704. Everyone assumes the Rangers will finish higher due to their Cup run last year, but that doesnt translate to being as good the next year.

I can see a LOT of Eastern teams above the Penguins for the reasons you mentioned. they had 51 wins last season and should NOT be as good this year losing James Neal, Jussi Jokinen and Matt Niskanen in the offseason. they were numbers 4, 5 & 6 in scoring in for the Penguins last season

The 4,5 and 6 scorers will be replaced with Hornqvist, Ehrhoff and Dupuis who missed more than half the year. Not to mention a healthy Letang who missed the majority of the season. Yes, their weakness is in net, but they also don't have the buffoon Byslma behind the bench.
New attitude, healthy club, pissed off for not returning to Cup Final in over 5 years. I hate this Pens team more than anyone but I really don't see them taking any steps back.. at all.

As for the number 51 itself, yeah, I think it's a bit high too. Looking back, they only had 2 seasons over 50 wins in the past decade. The Metropolitan (improved as a whole) will make it very difficult to reach 51. Under is a good bet for sure.

I do not have the play offered as of now, but like the play and your theory on the over achieving rangers. what price tag do you have on this? wish you the best this season ice!

They'll be close to 50 again...haters don't understand.
Better play is Rangers Under win and points. Islanders to not make playoffs -115 Oilers to not make playoffs -200 Under 3.5 Canadian teams to make playoffs

the only thing certain is you will make an azz of yourself again this season!

A lot....lol
I don't see a lot of brain cells in you...
Pens will prove you wrong again and you're a pens fan...??
Pens are in a different league...Easy 1st place again.

and BTW, the Penguins are NOT my TEAM goofy. I gave up on those MUTTS a couple years ago because they 1) ALWAYS cost me MONEY no matter WHICH way I BET them, 2) LOAF in about half their regular season games and 3) can NOT get it together in the PLAYOFFS
the two teams I really pull for now are the Bluejackets and Flames because they ALWAYS give 100% in their games WIN or LOSE. BJ's injury problems hurting them big time early season BUT the "No Name Flames" have been doing excellent
