They are lame....you would thibk they are watching a tennis match. Do they know their team is in the Cup finals??

They cheer when their team scores. Any other time is pointless. Conserve your cheering when a goal is scored.

Also keep in mind that the fans at this series are more of the corporate type than the "real" crazy diehards.  Not sure how it stacks up to other arenas but I heard $325+ for SRO tonight, for GAME 1.

yeah, they really suck. you never hear a lets go hawks chant or something like that. boston fans are def better.

These are mostly fair weather fans who can afford tickets. Even the season holders sell theirs. The real fans are all at bars or at home. I don't know what it says about boston fans (maybe a little insecure) that they need to write about it and how great your fans are.Let me give you a pat on the back and a gold star! If you walk around the city or in the suburbs 1 out of every 3 people is rocking hawks gear. If you were there in person you would also realize it's a lot louder than you think. I don't wan't some annoying a$$hole screaming in my ear the whole game who can't pronounce vowels right

some times fans who really care and understand the game are focusing on it, fair weather fans are the ones who are constantly yelling and screaming without knowing really what is going in the game. They do really get loud when the Hawks score or have a good shift or a big hit etc.

Well I hope you "boston fans" start a riot after you lose the cup. You guys are like Miami Heat fans of the NHL compared to canadian fans

This thread is dumb. UC is a bunch of diehard fans there are few corporate guys but for the most part its life long fans...

I actually though it was pretty lively in the UC for the most part.

I think it's the broadcast.  I noticed that the NBC feed of the game, they really didnt capture the fans very well and it did sound very quiet.  Switch to CBC and it sounded A LOT louder and more intense.

all that matters is the outcome of this series witch in this situation blackhawks will win cup case closed !!!!! should win in six or possibly seven but it is a done deal !!!

CBC has the external mins turned up more loudly all the time. It's why I watch their broadcast when I can.  NBC is typical American turn down everything but the two yobbos speaking in the booth broadcast.

Guess its the suits who have been showing up since 2008 to fill the UC. Chicago's attendance was near the worst since 2000. Funny how guys like hughson call them the best fans in the league yet they never showed up when the team wasn't very good. Bandwagon perhaps

Can't say I really blame them too much.  Before Bill Wirtz passed away and his son took over, the Hawks were considered to be one of the worst franchises in sports. 

Bill banned all Blackhawks home games from being televised unless they were being broadcast nationally.  He felt it was 'unfair' to those who paid to come watch the team in person.  At the same time, he also jacked up ticket prices an average of $50 to watch a shi**y team that he invested very little in.

Talk about pissing people off!

No wonder he was considered one of the greediest owners in all of sports.
