How could he let up on it when he couldn't see it?
How could he let up on it when he couldn't see it?
You ppl crack me up. Like you guys have a better grasp on NHL officiating than Melrose. "Even the announcers said it was a bad call". Are you talking about the same announcers that said the penalty shot was a bad call? Let me guess, they were wrong about the penalty shot but correct about the game 7 call... just foolish.
And for those saying that "you could clearly see the official was looking up ice..." So, now you can tell what an official is looking at? Can you tell me what he was thinking too? From what I saw, you could see that as he was skating up he had the whistle in his mouth. I am guessing that he was blowing it because (A) the whistle was in his mouth and (B) you can clearly see the Red Wing bench looking back (away from the play I might add) in the direction of the official. This would lead me to think that there was some sort of a noise (or WHISTLE BEING BLOWN) heard WELL before the goal was scored.
Unfortunately, I have not been blessed with the ability to get into somebody else's head and know exactly what they are looking at or thinking. Instead, I must rely on COMMON SENSE.
