IF my Penguins keep FILLING the NET like they did against Ottawa and Anderson, who I though was the BEST goalie left in the Eastern Playoffs, they are going to the Cup Finals they year. don't see either the Bruins (probale) or Rangers (IF they do a "Flyers Lazarus") beating them.
AND I think the ONLY team from the West that could beat them is the Kings with their defense and Quick in goal because they ALSO have the players that can score.
I do not think the Kings are ever "Fun" to watch. Hopefully the Hawks come back then we could possibly see a Pens-Hawks series which would be entertaining.
At the beginning of the season I felt the Cup matchup was going to be B's vs Hawks. Picked the Hawks because I felt this year they would come back with a vegenace from last year and all the injuiries they had. For the B's I felt they were the most complete team in the east, yes I probably am a little bias coming from Boston.
Rat, watching you Pens has been fun. They are high octane and the poweplay is a thing of beauty. And their goaltending has been acceptable since Vokun has been in there.
If the Bruins are fortunate enough to get by the Rangers I feel they will be a tough matchup for the Pens. They will be the toughest defensive team that the Pens have faced thus far. The Sens and Islanders were two unexperienced playoff teams. The Bruins know what it takes this time of year. When they are on they tend to do the little things right. Like getting the puck out of and getting it in, and not making to many turnovers. Lastly, if they stay out of the box they are one of the top 5v5 teams there is. I am not predicting who would win, just don't think the Ottawa series was a good litmus test for us to see how the Pens will finish. I am not disrespecting them at all, they play who they have to and took care of business.
